From anyone else this might have a shred of credibility, but from Sam, the undisputed king of overreaction, not so much.

I am sure we are all afraid to battle that awesome 17th place AM1 finisher from the Bad Monkey Open...

I'll deal with the two other yahoos in my next post after I get some caffeine in my system.

Joe G's moving to Saturday's? Glad to see the Crusties finally picked up a skirt.

And this is why we hold off until late in the season to get Adair on the schedule. And why we don't start every week off at 8 am. That would make for a very early departure time from The Dalles...

When I say on the schedule that the event starts at 9am that doesn't mean we show up at 9 am anyway. The captains should be at the event by 8:30 am to set up the matchups and give me time to fill out the score cards. We want to be teeing off by 9am. So I really believe that only the shortest daylight events need to be starting by 8 am.

Yes Adair was on the schedule last year and some years before that. Adair and Trojan are both quite far from the Dalles but I've never heard any of Big Winds members complain. They rock! Hell, one of their players lives in Astoria!

And for all you people with short memories:

WE ARE NOT GOING TO PLAY ROOSTER WHILE JORDAN IS RUNNING THE SHOW!

Please go back over this thread and you'll (re)discover why it's never going to happen as long as Rooster is configured as it is. Next person to suggest it will be forced to play their first match with a 1100 rating.

All that said, I'm looking forward to more cold and wet golf with some of my favorite people! Two boxes of hand warmers were ordered today in fact.

Way to go Hammerloins........temper what could have been an epic Jordan rant. This is why I play TDG.........Just for the opportunity to be there and not miss out on Jordan expressing his inner most feelings in a way no other man can.

Forgive me for being confused, but does a person need to show up at the preliminaries and play 4 rounds to get their rating for TDG? What if that person already has a rating? Do they still need to play 4 rounds at Pier?

Thank you for your patience.

So, I am interested in playing TDG, yet haven't found a team somehow. Enough of you out there know me, so point me in the right direction, if you could. Cheers!

No worries. Here's how we set ratings for TDG:
1. Current PDGA members use their current rating at the start of TDG Oct 8/9
2. Former TDG players use last year's final rating
3. If you do not get a rating from 1 or 2 then you must play at least one rated round during the Prelims at Pier Park on Oct 8/9
4. Still no rating from 1-3 you start the year with a rating of 1000. It will not be factored into your rating for the rest of the year, your rating going forward will be based upon what rounds you shoot in TDG.

That said, if only peeps without ratings show up and play then we will have a hard time seeding the round for those without ratings. So basically this is the lowest key of the low key events that I run. We are there to have some fun rounds, drink some quaffers, shoot the shite, run some smack and play a little disc golf. IF you can come out and play please do so. You can play in up to 4 rounds that weekend if you wish.

Well, it looks like the last team with any roster opening is the Discrupters team led by Wes Hansen. They might have an opening for someone who is dedicated to making all of the events. I would PM him on this forum with your desire to join TDG. I believe that we are at 138 peeps for our 140 person league.

We are almost ready to get this baby started!

The Discrupters have a full team. The 7th & 8th players are undergoing three days of DG boot camp to see who gets the starting spot.

Please, no more resumes.

Official roster will be submitted to TDG Commissioner forthwith.
