This thread has educated me to no end; Some people who write on public property actually think that not only is it an acceptable practice, but an action worth defending. It has also taught me to really appreciate good spelling. (even with a big underline in red you can't figure it out?). But most of all I have learned to view squirrels in a different light.

I'd like to congratulate the douchebag who tagged Hole 9 at Whistlers Bend because he got a "Birie on one knee from oak tree".

Perhaps I should have followed suit and tagged Hole 14 basket when I hit the number plate on my second drive from the teepad.

It was awesome.

Yeah, we found one of the baskets at Milo tagged yesterday as well. Assholes.

I think the only way to deter basket tagging is to design baskets that tag back. Some sort of ink detector that triggers a paintball to the stomach ought to do the trick.

How about a cartoon like spring loaded boot that kicks them in the nuts.

There is another option I have been thinking about. Perhaps a kiosk of some sort that has a drop box with paper that allows the player that aces to drop their name in the box. The ace would have to be witnessed by another player and signed off to count. At the end of the month, all people who have aced would have their name placed on this board under something like "July 2011 Aces". That way everyone can see who has aced and how many times, what holes, etc.

This is probably a pipe dream however as I doubt that people would use it or exercise the discipline needed to constantly update the board. It would be nice to see some sort of idea like this implemented though.

Something to think about...

...or just use discgolfscene. The people that would give a shit about who aced what hole(s) are probably already on there.

Leverich and Glenwood are the worst. They used to repaint the tops of the baskets at Glenwood but haven't or don't anymore. A few of the holes like 8 are covered in signatures. It's like really who cares if you have a 160' Ace. Lev really gets me pissed though because there isn't even anywhere to write on them but the frat boys and scrubs push through the chains and write on the label thats around the post. I'm finding the same people tagging baskets are also the ones that beer cans at every teebox or just on the basket...
