I talked with PDGA about this when we set the Sudoku Showdown up, they don't care whether it is 150g or 159.9g - although you are likely going to run into trouble trying to combine the 150 class/SuperClass.
I wanted to do the same thing but they said it would need individual sanctioning for each tourney. Either way, this one sounds FUN!
