I love FH, but I haven't done better than a 58, +3, it's all those damn OB's and the wind, omg, last year's 1st round must have been in the 30-40 mph range and whew what a rough front 9 it was. And yeah, don't go in the water, the first year I was there I went in after a few discs that barely rolled into OB or skipped in there, didn't think much of it, ofc no one tells the Deaf guy anything until it's too late. The next time I went back, well I wasn't touching no water... gross... One buddy of mine actually went out for a while out there getting his discs and became horribly sick for a week.... bleh.
Yes, I can sympathize with Snap...I had a 10:30am or so tee time for the first round at Fountain. I was 3 under going into the back nine, just when the wind started kicking up...winds got to 35mph and stayed there, which shut the fountain down. I finished the round 7 over, going OB 3 times on the back nine. Oh, did I forget to mention I went OB 9 times my second round at Fountain? I think if you factor in everything that Trojan is a way easier course, although I did play rather badly the entire time at The Memorial last year. Don't forget about all the OB roping at Vista Del Camino either...rounds at Vista are easier, but painfully long...5 hrs-ish.
