2010 goals posted last year:
Here's the real goal for a modern day disc golfing dad who wants to spend loads of time with the kids while balancing work and disc golf.
Improve my rating by 20 points while only doing the following...
1. Practice putting only prior to rounds and during lunch break at work.
2. Practice drives only prior to rounds plus one additional hour per week at the nearby school field.
3. Play only one casual round per week; that round being a weekly $5 random doubles.
4. Play only 5 tournaments.
Well, my rating on Jan 1, 2010 was 934 and now it is 956!
1. Did it
2. Didn't even practice drives that much
3. Did it
4. I've only played 5, but Steily w/Chili this weekend will make 6!
What I've learned: Because I didn't practice drives very much, I actually threw shorter in 2010 than in 2009. But my rating went up 22 points... Why?... Because my putting in 2010 was awesome! Something I totally attribute to Papa putting pointers and practicing putts/playing putting games with my friend Mr. Huff at work during my lunch break.
-----------------------------------------------
2011 Goals:
1. Throw at least one 1000+ rated round, gosh!
2. Win one Advanced tournament
3. Maintain my new 950+ rating
4. Birdie at least one hole (in a PDGA tourney) that is flat and 400+ feet with a legit putt (not some 100 foot approach)
