an interest in glow golf @ shelton springs????

is there any reason i cant start some glow golf at the springs?
(i.e. cant be up there after dark)

i'm thinking about trying to play at the springs in the dark

week day or week end doesnt matter

anyone else?

Maybe on the weekend... going to get cold at night would much rather do this in the summer :)

TYVEK November 15th, 2012 07:26 PM

the great thing about doing it in winter time is that you dont have to stay up half the night playing, i mean heck at 5:30 pm its dark and you finish by say 7:30-8:00 pm! that is so much better than waiting until 10 pm to start playing and getting done at midnight. cold isnt an issue for me, but rain is. if its raining im probably inside unless its team golf, then i will be out in any conditions.

i cant stay awake late enough to play glow in the summer

if you guys are interested in playing, talk to your buddies, lets see if we can put together enough people play in the dark

If you're planning playing glow at the springs let me know so I can notify the parks Dept. That's all they ask

If It look like we were going to play, I was going to give you guys a quiz and make sure it was alright.

At this point it looks like I'm the only dummy that wants to play in the dark

Ya, it's Fu(k1|\| cold out there

matt November 16th, 2012 09:08 PM

at this point i dont think i'm reaching a big enough audience, to get word out or some input about it. (glow golf)

i will bring both of these things up on mon. eve.

I WILL be starting a glow golf night(s) at shelton springs
maybe on the 1st Fri. of the month @ 5:30p.m.

I will post when I know the date(s) and start time for sure

I will be asking for a 1-3 dollar donation per person (depending on how many people show up),
to help pay for glow stick/basket lighting supplies, as it will all be coming out of my pocket

8 days to glow until some night golf:biggrin2:

i will be asking for $5 to play*

we did some basket lighting tests, and
played some of the holes with deeper brush, and ones that you cant see the basket from the tee

test results showed: we will play most, if not all, 18
(we were originally only going to play 9-11 holes)

*which means ..... I got to buy more lights*

I think it pretty well for the first one (it had a couple of rough spots, and everyone learned a thing or two about playing in the dark)
I sure had a lot of fun and we had only a few lost discs.

Had a couple CTPs and a drawing for a blacklight and some nice glow discs!!!

Paydirt December 8th, 2012 10:10 AM

Nice, sorry I couldn't make it... when I drove past looked like there were 10-12 cars parked there.

I got a question... if you put the LED's on z plastic can you remove them after you are done playing for the night? Also did they make the disc's fly any different?
