2012 Pro/Am World Championships Charlotte, NC July 14th - 21st
 

I know it is several months away, but people are already making plans for this event. This will be a huge tournament with over 800 players on 14 different courses.

I am planning on attending, and I know Oregon will be well represented. :yay:

I am looking at booking my lodging soon, and I am going to start watching the flights.

I can't wait this is going to be one epic disc golf adventure. :rockon:

Charlotte Worlds is gonna be da bomb. Played worlds there in '97.
Id suggest that you putt in a Sauna for at least a month before hand though.

I'm going... I know there will be 2 or 3 others from Eugene going too.

I'll be going...I'll probably do a house rental, or get in on one, like I'm doing for The Memorial this year.

1. Who do you think is going to win the pro worlds this year?

2. Who's photo did they use for the silhouette for the poster?

Sleeper pick to win is Michael Johansen... unless he's playing masters
He designed most of the courses and he is sneaky good.

Nostalgia pick is Climo because most of the courses will favor accuracy and shot making over power...

Real pick is Nikko, from afar he seems to work harder than the rest of the top pros and he is going to win a world title sooner or later.

im going! i will likely be either looking for course rides from somewhere, or able to offer them...

I am planning to go as well, I like the mixed Am/Pro formats. I will not be able to fly in until the Sunday before due to a wedding I am in on the Saturday but I should be able to preview a few courses before the Tuesday Start.


I am not willing to make any picks but I would not rule out any locals for the win at this one.

About ready to book my flight to CLT, about $500 for round trip.. Not too bad, but anyone finding any better deals?

Also lodging is still up in the air...

Flights booked! Hotel reserved! DBJ will be going to Worlds to represent Oregon in MJ2! Im so proud of him and all the hard work he's put in over the last couple years. For those who dont know, Danny is also(to name a few) an Honor Roll student, a video game wizard, a sports encyclopedia, and a scrabble master! If you play words with friends and you want a shot at the champ, let me know!

That's awesome. Matty has been hitting me pretty hard to go to Worlds, but it's just not in the cards for us this year. You can bet we'll be cheering Danny on from here.
