you boys can register yourselves as caddies ahead of time, as well, i believe... then you can show up at the flick and let the ladies know you're an available caddy...

... by the way, gals, having a caddy is totally the way to go as long as the caddy understands one thing entirely... he (or she as the case may be) is just the caddy... it can be a real nuisance if your caddy never shuts up or wanders away with your bag or pays more attention to the other players on the card...

i think it's super cool that you boys are offering up your burly muscles in support of the ladies. well done.

For sure it is. :yay: Here is info about our event taken from our facebook site.

If you're a first time disc golfer or have been playing for a while, this is the event for you. Learn the basics of disc golf from local women & select men: drives, approach shots, putting, and trick shots. This is a fun, casual event where you can learn and practice disc golf skills with women from Oregon and Washington.

Your entry fee includes: player pack consisting of ladies performance shirt, 2 new discs, pint glass with the Chick Flick logo, mini, towel, commemorative bag tag + more, lunch Saturday & Sunday provided by our title sponsor Next Adventure, golf day use fee for Saturday & Sunday, camping Friday & Saturday, Saturday includes clinics, and a casual fun round, Sunday two 18-hole PDGA sanctioned scored rounds. Script or cash & trophy to be awarded to Open, Advanced, Advanced Masters, Grand Master, Intermediate divisions. Trophy only to be awarded to Recreational, and Jr. divisions.

Also our title sponsor Next Adventure is putting up a $300 Next Adventure gift certificate for an ace pot (an ace is like a hole in one). If more than one player gets an ace then it will be split.

We will also have a glow course set up for Saturday night for those who would like to play causal fun round of glow golf. Also there will be a raffle, ring of fire, and other fun activities. Sunday there will be two PDGA sanctioned rounds followed by awards and payout for the top finishers.

Guests can register for the event as caddies which includes: t-shirt, golf day use fee for Saturday & Sunday, lunch Saturday & Sunday provided by our title sponsor Next Adventure, camping Friday & Saturday.

We had a few ladies register this week, so we are now at just 21. We had 89 ladies take part last year hopefully registration will pick up soon, so we can get close to that number again this year. We have invested in lots of plastic for this event, we have a killer players pack, and we also have some really awesome raffle items as well. Also if you want to ensure you receive a shirt, custom towel, and custom bag tag in your players pack you need to get signed up next week for sure. We need to order the shirts ahead of time, and we will not be able to order much over what the registration is at that time. Please sign up as soon as you can, so we can plan properly for this event.

BTW thanks to KEEN who has once again this year donated three free KEEN shoes gift certificates for our raffle, and some items for our players packs.

I have been giving the Chick Flick business cards to the ladies whenever I see them on any course that I played. I have been talking to my peers, and it turned out that National Softball Association for the Deaf falls on same weekend so most of them will watch or play at Dallas, TX (I am shuddering to think about those players have to play in the heat!).

Here is a sample of this years players pack. Of course the pint glass will have our logo on one side & the Next Adventure Flight Crew logo on the other, and will be a dark purple stamp. Imagine the shirt with our logo on the front of course, but this will be the color of the shirts. Also imagine the tag & towel with our logo, and the tag will be round. The beer pictured is not included, but as always Next Adventure will be hooking us up with some refreshing beverages to fill those pint glasses. :chug:

Get signed up asap because we will have to put in our shirt order next week, and we will not be able to order many over what the actual registration is at the time.
