LONGVIEW – WSDOT and Granite Construction Company of Bellingham start work May 10 to bring down more than 150 yards of large rock, loose debris and unstable soil from the slope above SR 4, just west of the Germany Creek Bridge (milepost 50.2). Contractor crews will close SR 4 for 45-minute durations between 8:15 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday for three weeks. SR 4 will be open to two-lane traffic between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8:15 a.m., Monday through Thursday. No traffic impacts are scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays during scaling operations.
After the scaling work is complete, traffic will be reduced to a single lane, alternating directions on SR 4 while crews install rock anchors to hold large rocks in place and further stabilize the slope. Drivers should expect up to 20-minute delays during daylight hours, Monday through Thursday until the project is complete by the end of summer.
WSDOT encourages drivers to plan ahead and avoid long delays by checking the WSDOT Weekly Travel Advisory, Travel Alerts or Project Web page, or by calling 5-1-1 or 1-800-695-ROAD from any phone to get up-to-date information once construction begins.

The same would apply to Skyline.
The Puget Island Ferry runs from US 30 in Westport, OR at a quarter past the hour and from the island on the hour.
