Now that Bag Tag #1 is in my hands I have reversed the 3 stroke penalty on James Moore. That gave him the match point for both of his matches. When that happened it pushed our match to a 5-5 tie. That meant the tie breaker of total strokes was used and Good Bad & Sassy edged out Vapor Trail by 7 strokes 629-636 for the 7-6 win.:pirate:

Whoa! I thought that they would have won! Nice! Go us!

Yeah I was a little hammered when I looked at the sheet at the park...

Also ours was not the only match decided by the total strokes tiebreaker this week! Rockwood Roughnecks and Big Winds was decided 500-512 in favor of the Roughnecks! The scores were that low because they didn't field any dubs matches last week.

Slight correction!

George Adams under reported his score in the afternoon by two strokes and that raised the SSA for that round to 52.21. That raised most ratings in the round by a point. I'll get the updated ratings out soon as we have the next event this Sunday.:pirate:

East vs. West

I've listened quietly without comment while the Division West has jerked their own ego and claimed to be clearly stronger than we in Division East. Quiet no more . . .

Division Standings
East 91.5 pts
West 81.5 pts

I am not sure that your math tells you what you think it does my friend.

A better picture would be painted by a WON-LOSS record in East Vs West head-to-head matchups. But a quick look CAN be gleaned by looking at last weekend's matches where all East teams played West teams. The East division went 3-2 last week. But while that is an edge for the East I don't think that it is definitive either way. I'd say that the divisions are pretty even.:pirate:

Sean Phillips December 2nd, 2008 01:35 PM

Was it windy down there at Adair? Those ratings look like the course played really tough. Sorry I missed out on the Adair team golf week. I broke my big toe on Wednesday and wasn't up to walking a big course. Watch out team that will be playing against mine, I should be healed up enough for Dabney in two weeks.

I wouldn't expect a self appointed Westie to agree with my analysis. It is however unfortunate and coincidental that we will never meet on the field of battle this year. I'm sure that last year's result of said match up had nothing to do with that decision.

jevon December 2nd, 2008 02:07 PM

I think there is one thing we can all agree on. The West division is much better looking... even with T-Ry. :cool2:

Then I think you will be pretty lonely. The TG event at Dabney is THIS week.

Sam December 2nd, 2008 03:34 PM

You know, Kel... there is a way for us to play each other this year.

Of course, you guys will have to figure a way out of second place in order for that to happen but I am sure you already figured that out, didn't you? :D

kel December 2nd, 2008 05:53 PM

. . . and you probably already figured out who just put you in 1st. :wink2:

Sam December 2nd, 2008 06:07 PM

And we do appreciate your efforts... but that will not stop us from showing you no mercy and crushing you in the finals... should you be good enough to get there. :)
