Trojan conditions?
Everything cool out there? Thinking of playing some time in the next week or so...
|
Last we checked, yes. However, it has rained quite a bit since then. The water is up, and there are a few soggy areas around the banks, but the fairways seem to be okay. This will be a good test for the new french drains on 10 and 11...
|
If we go, I'll report back... where were the problem areas that the French drains are supposed to alleviate?

Played Trojan today. The water is pretty high, and within a few inches of swamping the #8 peninsula. But everything was very playable. #10 and #11 were extremely soggy; guess those drains aren't helping much.
We had five splashdowns: #6, #8, #9, and #13 were with floating discs (Lightning #2 Driver) and were retrievable with a big stick. Then there was a too-straight drive on #2 that found the pond in the little ravine. (We managed to fish that one out too, but it required some wading.) By the way, the mailbox on the "kiosk" (such as it is) was stocked with PGE maps. Oh, and where the hell is the normal teepad for #10? We couldn't find any markings. Are you supposed to throw from on the road, right next to the big gate? |

That was a request by us to not have the fishermen parking on our tee pad. At one point it did say "No Parking" (or something to that effect), dividing that driveway in half, with the tee pad area being on the half closest to the basket (obviously).
|
10 should tee off from across the pond. An improvement on the original course design, IMO.

True statement. People still land on the highway driving from the normal tee area on 10... Meh. However, were disc golf to cause an accident on the highway, I would guess the course would be a thing of the past...

I think we saw you from 12 when you threw on 6. Were you with that white van?
Got someone coming this afternoon from Kalama, so I'm eating an early lunch. I should be working on projects, but.... |

I've been playin out there a couple times a week lately. I find the conditions to be very tolerable lately. There has been about ZERO wind the last 4-5 rounds. I live very close to trojan now. PM me if you're looking for a tour guide. I know where all the trouble spots are. (like in the water)

Well, I think it just happened again. That evil bitch next door got to the Kalama guy just 80 feet short of the sixth green and sent him off with the wrong directions.
Listen people, just keep driving up that road beside the creek until you see the sign for The Inn at Lucky Mud. Then go to the top of the hill where the big gray house is. That woman on the road at the bottom of the hill is a crazy, loveless, mean-spirited, cnt, who wants nothing more than to make life hard for us and any of our guests. She is incapable of uttering the truth, unless it is to augment a lie. Do not engage the crazy woman at the bottom of the driveway in any way. Ignore her and pass her by. You may find her on the road on foot or on a green tractor -- POISON!!! -- Stay away from her! If you engage her, it will just come back on us. Trust me on that. If the driveway doesn't have the inn's sign, it's not the right driveway, do not turn up the wrong one. She is under court order to not interfere with our guests, but if you talk to her or go on her land, then it will be difficult for us to protect you. It's been close to two hours since I saw a white car pull into her yard and heard her squeaky black dog doing its version of barking and her yelling at the driver. He drove out and obviously went on her wild goose chase. I hope he gets back, but he probably gave up and went to Skyline. |
