Lake Selmac?
This is a course I've heard very little about. Who's played it? Is it worth the trip off the highway?
Is it a destination course? How does it play? Long, short? Technical? Open? |
I played it last Thursday. It's definitely worth the 3-mile trip off Hwy. 199; it's an open question whether it's worth the 26-mile detour off I-5.

Once Selmac has a full 18 Mach 2's or better it will get a better rating. Rusty chains are ... Stiff? :chug: |
I thought the blue "homemade" baskets on the front nine were excellent, actually.

Lake Selmac definitely brings challenges to long drivers. This course has a lot more technical throws. Other then not ever wanting to go in that water it is a very good course and when we camp there brings a lot of fun times. I think it is the only other well maintained course in the area and worth playing when possible.

I love Lake Selmac, even when it does not love me back. Fun times. Challenging golf.
Here are some photos from last weekend... and one from a few years back, showing the blue baskets. (Which I don't think are stiff but then I'm not one to blame a missed shot on the basket, heh.) http://www.nwdiscgolfnews.com/forum/album.php?albumid=35 |
