  • what division?

    I am a current PDGA member (4438).
I have been playing golf with discs for 22 years of which 18 have been pro.
    I am 56 years old.
    My PDGA rating is 934.
What division of a PDGA gig can I legally play in, according to my ratings?
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

From the FAQ section at pdga.com
    http://www.pdga.com/faq#278n763

How does your rating affect what division you can enter?

All amateurs with the exception of aged based divisions, like Juniors or Masters and older, compete in divisions based on rating levels. You may not play in a lower division if your rating is above a certain number. The chart for 2009 is located at http://www.pdga.com/documents/divisi...points-factors. In addition, there are ratings events where everyone Ams and Pros play in a division based on their rating. Players are always allowed to enter divisions even higher than their current rating, just never below.

According to the chart, It looks like you can legally play in the following divisions (with your current rating of 934): open, open master, open grandmaster, advanced, and advanced master.

Look closer. That is for Ratings Events.

Edit: Maybe I should look closer and actually zoom in so I can read the numbers...

He can play Intermediate. I'm 57 and 930 so we have the same division options. I entered all of them but Intermediate during 2009: http://www.pdga.com/player-stats?PDGANum=4949&year=2009

But he stated that he's been playing Pro for 18 years. Assuming he has cashed somewhere during that time and that he has never applied for amnesty, couldn't he only play in Pro divisions?
