  • CRDGC Vice President Opening (& New TDs?)

    A new position is open for Vice President of CRDGC. Kyle has decided to "step down" and will likely take a club operator officer position, and continue to be involved in the club similar to that of our first year.

    First, members may nominate any club member who they think would make a great Vice President for the 2013 year. Any member nominated by another member must then accept the nomination, if they are to be included in the vote to become Vice President. Before accepting, nominated members should read through our Bylaws https://docs.google.com/file/d/1dlk-...Y-7/edit?pli=1 and assume the following roles:

    2. Vice President

    a) The Vice President shall chair the Staff-based Operations Team, acting as team leader.
    b) The Vice President is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with Club sponsors, local players [and businesses], and other disc golf organizations. The Vice President shall assist the President as needed, [and stay in frequent contact with other board members].
    c) Any teams or committees created by the Board of Directors shall be managed by the Vice President (or by a delegate appointed by the Vice President if approved by the rest of the Board).
    d) In the event of the President's absence, the Vice President shall chair Club meetings.

    In addition to accepting the nomination, which can be done on this forum, Facebook, through e-mail (crdiscgolf@gmail.com), or by contacting club President at (509) 737-7431, the member must also write a few paragraphs explaining why they think they would make a good Vice President, why they want the position, and their experience with disc golf, volunteering, or other positions demanding responsibility, etc (and submit that through any contact methods listed above). This must be submitted by the DEADLINE: OCT. 27TH, Members will be able to vote on the next Vice President just a few days before the next meeting on November 3rd, through e-mail only (so don't worry if you can't make it to the meeting). Also, if there is only one accepted nomination by the deadline, we may wait until the Meeting in December to vote for the new VP (and accept new nominations before then).

    ALSO, if any member is interested in stepping up and being a Tournament Director for any events during 2013, please let us know. This may include the 2013 Ice Bowl, Dennis Rockwell Open, Ace Race, TCOC (likely a co-TD position), or some sort of newly introduced event.

        Hello Ryan, thank you for your interest in the nomination for our VP position. Unfortunately at this time we will not be able to accept it due to non-membership to Columbia River Disc Golf Club. If you would like to join the cost is only $15 which would make you a valid member until December 31st 2013. Also if you would like to recommend the nomination to someone who is a member the nomination could potentially be made by them. Nominations will be open until Tuesday November 27th at 11:59 pm. Thank you.
