Yes, there is a big change underway. I will attempt to answer questions on this forum, but please contact me by email or PM if you have any specific questions or concerns you would like addressed. I don't have a "public" announcement put together, but here is the official announcement I sent to all the tournament directors that used Northwest Sign-Up:
Greetings Northwest Tournament Directors
I can’t thank you enough for supporting Northwest Sign-Up over the past three years. Your business has led to a merger that will bring an improved online registration system to the northwest. Northwest Sign-Up is merging with 4DiscGolf to create a much more advanced system. Tournament directors will still get excellent customer service with quick response times and we will continue striving to make everything TDs want displayed/offered on their registration page to be available for their players.
4DiscGolf is currently a branch of Firefly Disc Golf in Portland, OR. Firefly Disc Golf is responsible for running very successful tournaments like: the NAAC (Next Adventure Amateur Championships), Bad Monkey Open, & Leverich After Dark. Firefly Disc Golf also provides an outstanding online registration service (4DiscGolf) for events like: the Beaver State Fling, Rose City Open, & Hab/Rec. I am honored to be forming an owner’s partnership with Ryan Gwillim & Steve Carson (owners of Firefly Disc Golf) to form a new & independent online registration source.
There are going to be many adjustments over the next several months while we develop our new format, website design, and business name. You can remain confident that you, and your players, will still get speedy customer service, safe & secure transaction processing, and reliable organization of all your tournament data. Please be patient during these times of adjustment and know that this developing online registration system will be top of the line and rivaled by no other. You, the ones who decided to support a northwest company with your business, are the ones that have made this development possible and because of that we will always play a part in the growth of disc golf in the northwest.
No more emails for every transaction – that’s right, tournament directors will now simply login to their tournament’s data page and look at all the player details of those who signed up. Tournament directors will be able to: export players right from their data page directly to the PDGA website, easily find player contact info, see if a player is actually current with the PDGA, easily limit the number of players allowed to register for particular divisions (this helps with pool assignments & saving places for women/juniors), generate waitlists, and register their tournaments online instead of emailing a form. That list is just a sample of the features you can start expecting to see from this new partnership in the near future (some features already available).
For now, we are using the http://4DiscGolf.com website. Please check out their webpage and let me know what you think, and please don’t hesitate to contact me when you’re ready to set up your next event’s online registration page.
Thanks again for all your support over the past three years. I will continue serving you and your players with the same dedication and respect as always while helping generate a system that will make your lives much easier (so you can spend more time focused on your tourneys).
