Best courses to show off in the Portland area?

My Nephew is coming up this weekend to play some dg. He lives in Albany and pretty much only plays Timber Linn. The idea of this trip is so that I can show him what real golf is like.

Pretty sure we're going to Horning's on Saturday afternoon.

Not sure about Sunday. I was leaning towards Milo/Timber, but then I thought about Pier/Trojan. Don't think I can get away, so it would probably be one or the other.

    Thoughts?

It is also the hundreds if not thousands of people that come out and picnic/play volleyball and reserve the shelters for weddings/bar mitvahs, birthdays, family reunions.

I seriously doubt the Fling/HabRec courses will ever become year around...

but again there is room to move farther to the west someday in the future...

I'm heading down to Santa Cruz this Sunday or Monday, but most likely won't hit Dexter until I'm on my way back north: maybe around the weekend of the 10th, give or take a couple days. (I try to plan my itinerary around decent weather.) What's the Cottage Grove timeline?
