We need to make sure we get done, get cleaned up and out of the park by 5 pm when they want to close the park. This is very important so we are on good terms for the Finals in February.

It will likely be very cold so please come prepared for it. The roads may be dicey so make sure you leave in time so we can all get going by the 8:30 am tee time.

We are playing the BSF East layout at 8 Ratings Points per Stroke with all PRO tee pads except for the longest hole. We will play that one from the AM pad to save time. Hole 16 has two baskets on it. We are playing the long combined hole so please do not hole out at the short position.

See you all out at the course!

Hath this whole world been mired in madness?
Remain ye men of faculty complete,
Of full arithmetic and prudence fair,
Attending to our noble bond and contract?
Or does here stand the last remaining man
To give a fig for rules and order yet,
No noble savage, but a stave unbroken
Who loves the law and bids it no misdeed.
I’ll not be bent to lawlessness. Mark it nought, if we be men of honour.

Skinny won by strokes! Now if we didn't have to count the handicap strokes at the end we would have won.

In a close match the Roughnecks even three players short edged out the Discrupters. Not our finest showing but we'll be back.

kevin. it turns out that we went 9-6

kirsten won in the morning. so we should have ended:
            round one 4.5pts
            round two 2.5 pts

The Yahoo file shows as 8-7 for Skinny vs GBP.And that is with Kirsten winning.

I believe you meant "because they were three players short" and not "even"......

Any team not fielding enough for a full match SHOULD FORFEIT any match they can't fill. There are 8 players on a team and ONLY 7 of them need to show up. By not fielding a field, teams that are short players get away with the chance to win even if they don't have enough to play all matches. This rule should have been changed when we went to 8 person teams. It REALLY should be changed next year.

However, the Discrupters will continue to field full squads AND our team members will continue to play hurt and will not stay home just to avoid a loss.

Well done to Sean Phillips for playing two rounds only a month after a serious car accident. He limped, gimped and threw with both hands to make it through his rounds. Kinda makes his teammate that couldn't play because he was hungover seem....

The results above show GB&S defeating TS by a score of 13-3.
But the results on the Weebly site show GB&S defeating TS by a score of 12-3.
This discrepancy is particularly important since GB&S and TS are tied for first in the division at 4-1, meaning the division leader is the team with the most match points.
Even more importantly, the Weebly site shows GB&S with 39.5 points and TS with 40 points.
So you see if GB&S really has one more match point coming to them then THEY are the division leaders, not TS...
I look forward to this correction and to knowing who the division leader truly is...

Wes, you DO forfeit any match slot you cannot fill (except for the 6th point, also known as slot S5 (or S10)). The S5 (and S10) slots are the ONLY optional slots on the match sheet. A team that fails to fill out any slot OTHER than S5 or S10 DOES FORFEIT that slot.

Of course, it would be totally unfair if the handicap strokes were not counted. Say a team of all pros played a team of all ams to a tie on points. Would it be fair to break the tie by counting strokes? Of course the pros would have far less strokes. Not counting the handicap strokes would defeat the handicapping, giving the win to the higher-skilled team virtually every time.

G$- The match scorecard shows 12-3 and i fixed the results table on weebly which actually said 11-3. That is the one place where I manually enter data and I goofed. The other tables (standings, roster round ratings) are set up such that Josh and I just copy and paste from official yahoo files so error is much less likely. I believe those tables, which show GBS in 2nd with 39.5, are accurate.

Upon further pondering, the maximum points that can be awarded in a match is 15.
6 for round one, 6 for round two, 2 for seven-man bonuses, and 1 point for the win. 6+6+2+1=15.
Therefore, a score of 13-3 is simply not possible.
Thanks Lundy for the quick response!

Except that a team can play one person cali in the doubles matches. While cali is not historically a benefit to the that team it still allows a team short on players to not sacrifice any points in the matches when playing with people out.
