  • Lazy McSundays @ McCormick Park, PDGA Sanctioned Summer League

Jared Fischer and myself (Brian Cole) will be hosting the Portland metro areas first PDGA Sanctioned Leagues!

Where: McCormick Park, registration/sign in will be in the area near 18's basket along the walking path.

When: Every Sunday at noon starting on Sunday May 11th. no league the following week (May 18th) as we will be preparing for and playing in the Rose City Open. We will be running two six week leagues so that scores can be reported and become official without waiting 10 or more weeks. We may add a few more dates towards the end of the summer. As of right now we are scheduled out to August 3rd.

How: $6 per week includes CTPs, ace pot, and payouts! It will be run just like a normal singles play tournament. You will get round ratings and points just like a normal tournament and payouts will be determined by finishing position within divisions. All PDGA rules apply (No alcohol in the park!). We will have cash payouts and CTP prizes weekly.

Why: For fun and for competition! A great way to introduce yourself or someone else to tournament play. Remember we're here for fun so don't take things too seriously, however, all PDGA rules apply.

We are working with a professional graphic artist to get some really awesome artwork for league discs. We will be ordering through Gateway (Wizards, Magics, etc).

    Couple of quick FAQ Answers:
Do I have to be a current PDGA member or pay an extra fee?
-- There's no non-member fee to play in a PDGA league. However, non-members will not receive ratings they can see online nor earn PDGA points.

How does league scoring work for final awards and payouts?
-- Payouts will not be reported to the PDGA so amateurs may even get cash payouts if the TD prefers and they will not lose their amateur standing.
