I am guessing Danni you already submitted this to the pdga but was wondering when it would be posted for viewing? I am planning to finally play this year considering I am located right across from you all. = )

Is tim back yet? Want to schedule a time to play a round up your way.

Thanks again for all your effort!

Also, is deception pass campsite about 15 minutes away from the course?

You are never really playing an opponent. You are playing yourself, your own highest standards, and when you reach your limits, that is real joy.

I was slacking on renewing my PDGA, but I'll do that when I get back from ASC and get it all "ordered up" from PDGA next week.

Is tim back yet? Want to schedule a time to play a round up your way.

Timmy isn't back just yet, but almost (It looks to be the middle of May right now) I'd say a GREAT time to head up would be for Doubles May 18th at Noon

Thanks again for all your effort!

Absolutely, it's all falling together now that the date is set. The sponsors have been super generous this year and we have loads of details still to post on once things get a little closer. I'm really hoping to beat the 127% payout for PRO and 147% payout for AMs from last year!

Also, is deception pass campsite about 15 minutes away from the course?

The closest camping in 1 mile from the course on the water at WindJammer Park (360) 279- 4756 *$20 a night with full hook-ups*, but yes Deception Pass is about 15- 20 minutes from the course and in the other direction is Fort Ebay State Park and is about 10-15 from the course.

Please tell me the $10,000 is somehow part of the Beersbie Challenge...

Is $10,000 for whoever drinks the most beer? I'm sponsoring a certain red headed friend then.

What no pampering package for the men? WTF? Hoping Tim may change this when he gets back.....

May be a silly Q but what is the beersbee challenge? Who plays best drunk?

I've seen Kenny Clark play and I'd say he's pretty darn good

I have decided NOT to do CTPs this year INSTEAD we will be having a RING OF FIRE after the awards on Sunday!

This, to me, is more fun and less "paperwork"

So be sure to stay until the very end for your FREE chance to snag some goodies!!

(plus I love the photos this makes, LOL)

KEEP those early registrations coming... I will start putting together the PDGA list in June!

                              Games

So everyone who hasn't been to a RIO to this point understands what the games actually are, here's a quick synopsis.
Skittles: CTP contest seperate from the rounds. Earn your way in by being one of the top ten closest in between rounds. For the final, everyone who qualifies gets 30 seconds(all at the same time) to throw as many discs as possible at the basket. This makes for an epic amount of plastic in the air at once, hence "skittles". Closest to the basket after 30 seconds wins the basket.

Beersbee: Easier to see in person than explain in type format, but a very cool game where you need a partner with three things: Hand Eye coordination, ability to throw an ultimate disc well, and good communication skills. Basically you need to clone Kenny Clark in order to win.

Ring of Fire: Everyone putts at once from 30 feet out, you make it you keep going you miss you're out. Keeps going til only one person sinks the putt. Prizes ensue.

Birdie Challenge: $2 to get in, there will be preselected holes that you MUST birdie in each of the three rounds. First round will be easy holes, 2nd round medium, 3rd round more difficult. It's like an ace pot if you win it, the cash is yours, if it doesn't get hit the money rolls into skins like last year. (Rey hit the bogey bar on the final birdie hole, then Kenny and Jayden took his potential winnings in skins lol)

There may be other games in addition but that's where we're at for the time being. Can't wait to have everyone back up to Whidbey Island, and especially looking forward to hosting as many of you in my backyard as I can again, like last year. Being totally honest, those were my best memories of RIO 3, love having so many great people together in one place.

Oh and as a selfish plug, I started a blog that I'm going to keep going throughout the summer tournament season, part serious, part humorous, part ideas to better things in and around tournaments. I just created my first one and I'd love some feedback from people in the community. http://yammits.tumblr.com/ Much appreciated. It even has a BA reference in it for those of you lucky/unlucky enough to know BA Enjoy.
