To all participants and players of the 2014 Amped Wide Open!

My name is Rick Saffeels and I am the Tournament Director, Steven
Winslow is the official PDGA sanctioned TD. I want to give you all a
brief rundown of the day and FAQs (frequently asked questions).

It has come to my attention that the $15 greens fee wasn't as clearly
identified as I would have liked. Auburn Golf course is sponsoring
the tournament with $21 per person donation/discount leaving $15 per
person to be paid for greens fees. We will be deducting this fee from
your buy-in. If this is a deal breaker for anyone please let me know
ASAP and I will facilitate a refund.

Expectations for this course: small area of land for a pitch and putt,
cross over, 9 hole golf course. Our goal is to show Oregon's Capitol
City that disc golf is great sport and is compatible with ball golf
courses. Hopefully the layout is fun for all and we are expecting
some low scores. There is limited space, some drives may be close to
other tee pads so we ask for courteous and safe play.

No one has ever played disc golf on this particular golf course
before, please be a good representative of the sport and please dress
in a manner that is tournament worthy. No need for collared shirts
because it is not a country club (unless you want to), but dress
appropriate to PDGA sanctioned rules and try to be a good "liaison"
for all cities and states that are being represented. For all rules
      PDGA tournament rules, please visit:http://www.pdga.com/rules

Here is a preview of the schedule for the day and this is what we will
      try to hold to:

      --Saturday July 19th, 2014--
      09:00am-09:45am Registration
      09:45am-10:00am Players meeting
      10:00am-10:15am Tee off
      12:30pm-01:30pm Lunch
      01:30pm-04:45pm Second Round
      04:45pm-05:30pm Awards/Ring of Fire

Parking will on the east end of the course, marked by signs. Lunch
will be next door to the course at the home of Reed's BBQ (May need to
drive or walk). There will be a donation box for the cook. We are
providing a tent for water on the course to stay hydrated, but we will
also have soda for purchase, snacks, etc.

Each person will receive a full color memorabilia course map with the
hole distances for the day. The distances range between our short
130' hole, titled "Ace the 9th Hole", and sponsored by Canyonview Camp
in Silverton, OR (sponsoring the T-shirts), to our long 775' par 4
hole. The layout will be a par 56 on 18 holes, par 112 for the day.

The tee pads are natural and will be clearly marked.

There is plenty of O.B. (Out of Bounds) and it will be marked with
flags and tape and explained in detail at the players meeting. Sand
traps will not be OB, but will need to be raked after you throw like
in any sand trap. If a disc goes over the property fence we ask that
you retrieve your disc after the completion of the round, walking
outside the course and not jumping over the fence. This will be
treated as a OB penalty and lost disc. We ask this because we do not
want to disturb the neighbors' property or the courses fences.

      FAQs
Can my friend/girl/guy/brother/ grandma still sign up to play?
No. We are only allowed 40 people on the course for this unique
      experience.

      Can I bring a caddie?
Yes. Lunch will be $5 and please inform me if you are bringing one or
more spectators. I told the cook to prepare for 70 people.

      Is there lodging available?
Yes. There are many available places in the area. Please email if
you would like help finding the best location and cheapest.

      What is Ring of Fire?
At the end of the tournament, we will be giving away a few prizes.
Everyone will be in a 30 foot circle, putting with one disc to be the
one that makes a unique or normal shot. More will be explained at
      that time.

If you have made it to the end of this message, we appreciate your
time! If you have a business or company that would still like to be
sponsored at the event or promoted, please email me. Thanks again and
      see you in 3 days!
