Those courses require way more discipline and are vastly more interesting than Timber Linn.
I am ok with playing it once, but I hate the idea of playing that course in lieu of getting to play the others. Yeah I said Lieu
I can see why you like to play that course. I almost blew my colon out when James Moore threw that monster Anny S shot out there last year. He CARUSSHED it!
In Lieu of Smobro's comments about the quality of course at Timber Linn vs Willamette we think the Beaver State Fling may need to change its practices. I don't know what we were thinking, we are going to add Timber Park into the Beaver State Fling Next year and everyone will play it. I mean the fairways at Milo are too generous and the tight technical aspect of Timber Park is highly desirable and will better help in determining a real champion.

    Just messing with you Kent........

        AM1 vote:

I vote to play all three courses. If I don't get another shot at the tourney layout of Timber Linn this year as an AM1, I will sign up for a different division.

sorry to stray off topic. thanks for bringing it back Essjay.

as for Flash, i know you dig the technical over the open field holes. IE: Stubb Stewart

Yeah... smo... you miss out on the nuances of Timber Linn. It's a great course in tourney layout. And... we've already played Bryant once this year.

              I vote for option B.
ďI believe I can hit 18 greens, hit every fairway, you know ó Vision 54, which means you birdie every hole, thatís in the back of my mind. I want to putt better, chip better. That day when I hit 18 greens and one putt, Iíll know Iím a complete golfer. Will that ever happen? Iím not sure, but itís possible. The 54 vision is always in the back of my mind.Ē

                I vote B.
And as far as Timber Linn goes I think it's a great course with much more to offer than Willamette does, Timber Linn has more variety with technical holes with ob, bombers, and left and right handed shots.

I'd rather play 4 rounds than play 3 and watch someone play 9 at the end. I'd most likely just head home and take a nap before the awards.

I didn't care much for Timber Linn at the OLE but I keep hearing talk about a different layout. Meh, do what you want. . .

Great playing at the Classic Rick! Your rating will go up significantly after THOSE sweet rounds...

I, of course, prefer 3 rounds to 4 (my 866 rated 4th round REALLY killed me) and the Timber Linn tourney layout ROCKS!

I hope that you are playing the Eugene Celebration so we can battle again. Any tourney that I get to play rounds with you and Sandy Bagger is a fun time for me, even if I play like crap the 2nd day!

Did I mention recently how sweet the Advanced Master division is now? Hella good times to be had!
Hath this whole world been mired in madness?

Thanks for all the input, Mike and I will decide soon what we plan to do. Kent, not sure why you have those thoughts on TimberLinn, in its tournament layout its probably the best course in the valley, so we plan on using it. Maybe your division will not have to play it, maybe it will...

Chiming in: I LOVE the ORS layouts at Timber Linn. I prefer those layouts to the Waterloo or Bryant layouts. Also, my mind says 4 rounds, but my body says 3.

Thanks! I hope it doesn't go up too much as I was just thinking about how it fit in nicely with the rest of the Advanced Master's ratings.

We're talking about Advanced Masters here Rick, what your rating is doesn't matter, just your age. You are always welcome in this division, you just need to be strong enough to handle the calls of "Bagger"!

I find if I shout it louder than everybody else, I have a good time at least...
