That is the CFR stamp, the tournament logo/stamp is different.

Thanks to Will Larson for the design!

This is awesome. I'm literally watching Animal House right now.

I'm really excited with what our club has been doing as of late. This tournament is going to be a reflection of all the good things going on with disc golf in Eugene. Sign up quick because it's gonna fill up fast! Nice job EDGC!

                  Register Online

                  Online registration only at:

                  http://www.4discgolf.com/EDGC

It is the goal of the Eugene Disc Golf Club to make the Eugene Celebration
a premier Pacific Northwest Disc Golf Event. Any donations made to the "TD
Tip Jar" will go directly to the 2014 Celebration.

We have registration set up with Division Caps based on historical registration data for the event. If your division is full you will have the chance to sign up for the Waitlist, which we will start to pull from on August 15th. If your division is not offered, please register in your second choice division, and contact either Tobiah or me. If enough people want to play a division we have not offered and get registered, we will accommodate that division.

                    Current Registration

                    http://www.pdga.com/tournament_resul...525/1931300112

36 lucky players signed up in the first 5 days!

                    A couple of notes:

There will be a "medium" field for the shirt selection, fixed soon.

Pro divisions are not getting the shirt or disc.

There will be a waitlist sign up available soon. If your division is full, please sign up on the waitlist. We capped the divisions based on previous years registration, but we can change that if we need to, and we will start pulling from the waitlist if any on August 15th. Pro Grandmasters is already full at 4 - please let me know if you want to play MPG.

If we did not offer your preferred division, consider signing up in your next choice, and if enough players want a division we will offer it. Contact me with questions.

The "TD Tip" is optional - a big Thank You to the players who have designated a tip. ALL TD TIPS will go directly to the 2014 Eugene Disc Golf Celebration.

                      Registration has been updated:

                      http://www.pdga.com/tournament_resul...525/1112381906

Thank you to everyone who signed up already, and tell your friends! 70 people in the first 13 days - keep it coming!

I guess there is some sort of questioning over in Facebook land about why the Eugene Disc Golf Celebration is not being held at Eugene's newest disc golf course at Alton Baker Park. Not the best way to get answers or resolve potential conflicts, in my opinion, but I realize that most people use it to communicate.

Anyway, as Co-TD of this years Celebration it was always my hope that we would have one day of the event at Alton Baker. I worked really hard for over three years to get that course approved and so did many other members of the Eugene Disc Golf Club and other local disc golfers. We all want it to be successful and love having a fun course in town where we can play without having to drive 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the Cuthbert Amphitheatre has a contract which allows them to hold future dates for potential concerts at the venue. When there is a concert the course is reduced in size. Hopefully, next year we will be able to have an agreement in place that releases our one day a year with enough advance notice for us to plan. That was not the case this year, and as far as I know the date has still not been released completely although apparently they did say we could have the course until 5 pm if they had an event that day.

Logistically, this means we have to get everyone from Dexter to Eugene in time to play three rounds and be done by 5 pm. People would be packing up camp at 5 a.m. - pretty sure that wouldn't fly with anyone. Plan a large tournament with very little help and be unsure whether your venue is going to work - I don't want to do that.

Doesn't really matter at this point because the tournament is set in stone, and we've been moving forward for a month with a solid plan. I hope we can figure it out next year because it is definitely a shame that we finally have a new course in Eugene and we are not holding the Celebration on it. Kind of seems like people are ascribing bad intentions to our decisions about venue, entry fee, online registration, etc. Or maybe it's just that complaints are way louder than anything else. We're volunteers, we're doing our best, and if it doesn't work out it will be our failure and someone else can run this sucker next year!

Ultimately the proof will be in the pudding. We have already raised almost $3000 from sponsors and CFR sales and it's all going into the tournament. We hope to announce some more details soon, stay tuned!

                            3 more spots in MPG

MPG sold out so fast this year, so we opened 4 more spots for the Grand Old Pros, and there are 3 left. Looks like quite a lineup in that division!

We're holding 12 spots for FPO players - ladies where you at?

Yeah I'm looking at you Emma Rose. Don't give me that 3 weeks in a row excuse....
