Big Al,

A couple of quick questions...

1) Will we be flipping out each day, or will we have the same partner all weekend?

2) Is there a final 9 each day, or just on Sunday?

3) The $30 is for both days, correct?

4) Got room for a couple more Portlanders?

I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to Big Al and all of the other State of Jefferson folks for putting on such a great event. Initially Ryan and I were simply looking to chase the sun for a weekend, but what we ended up with was a super-cool event on a beautiful weekend at Whistler's Bend. It was great I got a chance to play that last doubles round with the TD (Big Al) and even better that we CRUSHED IT!!! (Well, except for Gwillim & Mo team who we tied with!). Oh yeah.... and the final 9 was a riot.

Thanks again everyone. What a great weekend!

24 Golfers came out last weekend to Whistlers Bend Disc Golf Course to battle for the 2012 State of Jefferson FlipOut Finals and the coveted Hammer.

It was a great battle and in the end Devin Cordell came out on top to bring the Hammer back to Roseburg after spending the last two years in Coos Bay. Devin was followed by Anthony Salee in 2nd, Jeff Hagerty 3rd, and Ron Cole 4th. Congrats to Anthony Salee and Scott Schlies for aces on holes 3b & 13b.

We raised $456 for Gateway Education of the Wild Rivers Coast & our cause to create opportunities for your to learn and play Disc Golf. We will use this money to help fund clinics and a tournament for youth next summer. A huge thank you goes out to our sponsors:
Western Oregon Outfitters
Deer Creek Designs
Kelley Trinchero
Roseburg Hydroponics
Speed & Ollie's
Steve "Yoseman" Wright
Domino's Pizza
Pizza Palace
Staples Copy Shop
Whistlers Misfits
Will Petterson Photography
Good Vibrations
Dutch Bros. Coffee
Lise Hamilton
Kevin Mealue
Stella Faye Darling

Special thanks to those who helped make this tourney happen:
Lee Carter for art work, photos, and everything in between.
Brad McDougal, Roy Alberts, Mike Key, Scott Schlies, Moe Lockwood & Ron Cole for course set up.
Jim Bortoff & Anthony Salee for loaning us baskets.
Sorry if I missed anyone.

Namaste,

Al Springer
