8th Annual Aquafest Open is July 28th, 2012.

Just $25 for Ams, $35 for Open

Trophies through 3rd for each division including the sweet wooden disc trophies for first. Great payouts, ace pot, lots of CTPs, and other crap all included in the very low entry fee. Players packs including shirts for Ams. If Pro's want a shirt, let me know. This event will fill up so preregister.

$20 hole sponsorships are available. $100 sponsorship gets your name on the BadAss shirts. Contact me if you would like to help out

Hope to see everyone at the course with the most loved baskets this side of the Snohomish River.

One of the tournaments I look forward to every year!

I posted this here on Whidbey Island, and I KNOW a few of us will make the trip again this year!

Congrats to Getty for being the first to send in a registration. He is already gunning for the wooden first place disc that Mr. Teriyaki stole from him in the playoffs last year.

Also received a registration from Utah. This tourney will be filling fast if the forms continue to come rushing in from Carnation and Utah.....Get signed up!

My registration is on the way.....both Getty and Mr. Teriyaki are in my sights this year (along with Doug - Jim O.and the rest of the Lake Stevens Geezers)....unless we have a Senior Grandmaster division this year :yay::trophy:

Thank you Sportys Beef and Brew in Everett and Tall Guy Small Guy Automotive in Marysville (Vince Peterson) for your very generous donations to Aquafest. More to come from other local businesses and pubs that see my money I'm sure.

Payouts should be good at the Fest this year. Maybe you can trade your scrip for a ferris wheel ride at the carnival down by the lake....maybe not though....

Hey Brian,

Gonna try to bring a big crew from the Island as usual for this, definitely my favorite non sanctioned tourney of the year and you guys always do such a great job organizing and running it. Plus who would I be if I didn't come to defend my ace pot from last year?? Most people defend titles...I'm not that good, so I'll defend a lucky ace :yay:

Good to hear you guys are making it down again this year. Your island crew took home a lot of $'s and lots of hardware if I remember correctly.

I will also be camping and playing at the White River Open. You can submit your registrations to me then if you wish. The Lake Stevens crew has a few camping spots so just try to smell the jambalaya, stale beer or listen for the top hits of the 70's and you will find us.

p.s. They tourney is about half full at this point. Around 40 spots left but they go fast as the tourney approaches.

Check is written and sealed in an envelope, anybody know where they sell stamps these days?.... BTW.... Who does snail mail regs anymore? I guess I would expect a little more from a world traveler! JK BA. I won't ride it too hard, after all you are from Iowa! Long live the pony express!

I threw in an extra $25 for hole sponsorships (or use it to set up a paypal account)!!

Chris Gilberts will be playing Aquafest? Damn...I need to order another "participant" trophy to go with the one for Todd Bates. Sorry about our antiquated (that means "old") style of registration. Maybe I will do something more modern next year.

Thanks for the hole sponsorship Chris. Much appreciated. If you need a place for your camper, I have 5 acres and I reserved a spot for you over our septic drainfield. You will need to sign a waiver though since an ex-South Dakota wrestler is staying near an ex Iowa wrestler. My home will not be responsible for any damages to either person.

Even my mailman gave me a look when I asked him for a stamp! "What do you need that for"? he said!

Im gonna bring "the noise" (aka the family) BA!

No worries Chris. You may not even need to bring your camper. I just finished the barn for the goats and chickens. You all can share that with the animals. Be careful of the male goat (blue collar). He likes to deliver a head butt when you aren't paying attention.

Todd Bates already claimed the chicken house because he heard there are a bunch of peckers in there.

2 Boy Scouts and 3 Lake Stevens Geezers picked up and moved the huge log on fairway #5. We moved it out of the way and into the area between holes 6 and 7 ~ damn thing was mighty heavy.

will there be safari holes this year

There will be a 6 hole skins raffle immediately after the last round. Best 4 scores of the tourney draw a partner. Some Safari..

Danni, all holes are covered for sponsorship, but anything you may want to donate for CTPs would be appreciated. Thanks! Tim's portion of his $600 putt at Shelton would be cool! :biggrin2:

At 8:00 I will be ready to start checking people in. Be checked in BY 8:45. I will then start filling no-shows with people on the wait list.

lol, I can't agree to volunteer Timmy's skins cash, BUT yes PM me with any design or idea you'd like to have for the CTP and you know I'll be happy to help :)

Also anyone interested in signing up for the RISING ISLAND OPEN can do so with me at Aquafest. Cash, check, and charge will be accepted (because I have an app for that)

As always we're looking forward to the Aquafest!! See you Saturday!

The course looks good ~ Kevin and his sons really spruced up #17....you could play that hole bare-footed after the rake job they did.....Max and I did #5 & 6 on Wed....we cleared it pretty well but not the manicured job that Kevin did :trophy:

Looking forward to seeing (and hopefully winning) Danni's dye job.

I was overwhelmed with the "love" I was shown by the players that have come to "treasure" my dye job, so it was my PLEASURE to donate a few... GRATS to those that won the LAKE STEVENS designed discs!!

Now, I can NOT post on this thread without saying how much fun I had in round one caddying for Yammits. The card was rounded out by BA, Gilby, and JVP... what a fun time, antics, and memories!! Thanks guys!

As always this is one of the few tournaments on must attend list, and I can't wait to be there again next year.

Good times all. Thanks everyone who came out for the day. Below are the results from yesterday.

Special thanks to the crew of helpers that make this tourney so much easier to run. It could never have happened without the hours of help we get from a lot of locals and out of town friends who come up to help out. Thanks Cajun, Jesse, Oz and even Chris Gilberts for helping out during the event.

Thanks BA for putting me and the family up at BAcres! You really are a gracious host, we had an awesome time!

I'm not sure that I have ever laughed so much during a round, nor have I ever heard such intimate stories while in a tourney.... "I got a birdie has a whole new meaning"!

I gotta say, I was really impressed with the fact that you didn't let Todd Bates in, it really made it a better experience for everybody. If you can assure me that he won't be coming, I will be there again!

Forgot to mention we had 6 skins for $100 each following the round. The top 4 scores drew raffle tickets for a partner. It appeared a little tainted since 3 of the 4 drawn help put on the tourney, but please rest assured it was pure coincidence. I would have passed when my number was drawn but there was too much damn money on the line.

Jason VP & Jacob Pole - 0
Mark Yarmack & BA - $100
Pete Land & Jesse - $100
Beau Hyde & Chris Ozanich - $400

Thanks also to Danni for the sweet custom dyed "Aquafest logo" discs. They look great. Thanks Chris Gilberts for leaving the empty PBR cans in my front yard. Your family is very cool, but I am wondering why the kids have a little red in their hair.....

And special thanks to Todd Bates for not showing up to the tournament. I think once he looked online and saw the course was on elementary school property he wisely withdrew...:cop:

Another one in the books :yay: We enjoyed having ya'll. A few of you shot very well & really took it to the course - Jason, Beau, Peter, Mark, JJ, Eric (x3), Getty, AJ, & Blaine - well done.

Thanks for the help Chris. Your assistance was tremendous. You have a beautiful family. I am glad you survived BA's. Sorry the blues made ya blue. Looking forward to the Snohomish vs. Mason county Beersbie Match Play championships.

Thanks Jesse, as always, for your huge help & dedication to a successful tourney. If you get baskets in Yakima like the ones in Lake Stevens I assure you will have nothing but success. Yak Town Throw Down Bounce Out!

Thanks to Jim A., Don A., Oz, & all else who donated, helped, prepped, cleaned up, & contributed to this fun event. Big thanks to our sponsors & those who contributed sweet prizes (Danni those dye jobs are spectacular)!

Thank you BA for attending meetings, working the local businesses, getting the course in shape, & putting together a well prepared event. Good job putting together such a hard working crew. Thanks for running the show.

Don't hate the baskets! Lake Stevens ROCKS!

See ya next year!
