I would like to say thanks to Tom Bontempo, Tony Quatro, Kyle Stapel and Thorton in helping me put out a fire in a fallen tree this morning. This was started by a careless smoker dropping his lit cig. Just because it rains alot here in the pac-nw doesn't meat things dont catch fire!!! If your a smoker PLEASE PICK UP YOUR BUTTS, they CAN and most likely will start a forest fire:pullhair:

I had smelled the fire, but wasnt shure at first. There is camping there, so that was my first thought, until we seen the smoke!! It was lucky Tom was there, he had a shovel, and was able to take Thorton and Kyle to go get a trash can and fill it with water, white Tony and I were digging out the burnt log...

Mikk, acting just like a reformed smoker. Welcome to the club, sonny boy. :)

I remember Nate and I happening upon a fire at Willamette Park one day. Fairway of hole 17 had a dead stump with a bees nest that someone (perhaps a smoker with a cig) had lit on fire. Totally bizarre and destructive. Eventually fire dept. sprayed foam and broke down the stump...lame.

Glad you guys caught that! Would hate to see one of my favorite courses burn to the ground.
