JUEL DOUBLES TOMORROW NIGHT 530 STARTPlay with Redmond's finest disc golfers, might want to leave the nice shoes at home.

We had sixteen sixteen golfers show up and put in there five dollars for a chance to win a few bucks and boost their street cred.

The weather started out decently, but turned into a pretty windy day followed by some late chilly sprinkles combining nicely to keep the scores down quite a bit.

Lots of new players out there. Every year there seems to be a group of new players out at Juel that like the game enough to give doubles a shot. Always good to see.

Shot of the day was definitely Kyle E smashing a sixty footer dead center chains on his last hole to break a second place tie and pick up eight dollars that I was hoping to playoff for.

We had 23 people attend (21 on paper) the MAY 16
Juel Random Doubles! With the wopping turnout we had a little confusion
on the Tee pad assignments, and we had an infamous 'Cali.'

One of last weeks 1st and 2nd placers got paired up making a week 2 dream team by taking 1st Place by one stroke.

Thanks to everybody who came to close out the 1st month of Juel Doubles!
Brett 'The Butler' Vintertun (#49053) has been cleaning house with 3 first place finishes in 4 weeks.
20 players showed up for a damn near perfect day for disc golf.
The Ace Pot stood at $177 and scores were the lowest all month, not to include a big whopping 14 bogies!
Brett 'The Butler' & Kevin C. birdied on #18 to avoid a 3 way tie for 1st place. 'The Twin Towers' Bob C. & Mark C. won the playoff basket with 2 park jobs beating 2 missed 20/30ft. putts by Nate W. & Jason U. This weeks CTP was on #4, and Erik 'EEK' Kroncke snatched it up with 292 ft. drive landing 8ft. from the Basket. The prize was a T-Shirt from CTP Disc Golf and since EEK is one of the owners, the shirt went to his partner Sam O. Way togo Sam! Shot of the day goes to Steven C. with his 75ft birdie (off of a tree) on #14. More play was had and here are the full results.

With 13 in a row from Baskets#2 through #14, J.J.Johnson & Brett V. shot
a (-15) to set a new 2012 Juel Park Doubles record.
Carlee P./Dan M. took 2nd place, putting 'the Bird in the Chirper' in their last 6 baskets. Which gave them the momentum to win Juels third playoff in as many weeks with a Carlee Pruitt park job to outshoot Erik K./Kevin.
CTP was won by Jason U. on Basket (#1). He won a free disc voucher from 'Play it Again Sports' in Woodinville. The ACE POT stood still until Brett V. kissed chains on #4. but a kiss is only a kiss, so the ACE POT remained at $213 for the evening.

The 2 CTP's this week was snatched up by Erik K. (Basket 8) & Kenny C. (Basket 12).
Matching last weeks 2012 record at (-15) was Kenny 'The Truth' Clark & Andy L. 1 in a half duos stood at (-14) which resulted in a shootout that lasted 2 holes. Won by this weeks *(Nevada) Jason 'The One Man Band' Anderson over Bob 'The Butcher' Clark & Jayden 'The Show' Johnson. The Ace Pot sat with no challengers. Great show of players and great play by all. Big gap between 3rd place and 4th place though, check it out in this weeks results.

*Juel Park Doubles (JUNE 27, 2012) 6:00pm will feature 'The Island' on Baskets/Holes 9 & 18. The Island will be marked by flags and paint. The (10 meter) rule will apply on over 60% of 'The Island' but not all, because 'The Island' will not be (10 meters) in full circumference. There will be a drop zone for (o.b.) shots.
**Overflow parking. If the parking lot is full, M&M Auto Repair (Left,1 block down the street on the left if leaving Juel Parking lot) is allowing us to park in their parking lot on the Right side of their building.
***The Ace Pot will be capped Wednesday June 27. Likely around $260+. A secondary ace pot will be stacking up as the current ace pot is capped. In addition, I will be trying to raise another $100 to add to the secondary Ace pot as the weeks go by.

A more than warm day brought out 17 disc golfers ready to take Juel Park for a random doubles ride. The ACE POT started and ended at $260.00. Cortland started out the day with a near ace, side basket bashing drive on 4. Waking up the players on the card for what seemed to be a day of Ace runs. Kenny 'the Truth' Clark got Juel's 1st Triple Crown, taking both CTP's (7 & 10), and a 1st place spot, not to mention the shot of the day with a 500ft. drive past the basket on 15 for bird. The day ended in a shootout for 2nd.
