I'm coming to only watch for a few weeks due to recovering from back surgery but a I'm still stoked.
It's going to be so hard to watch but I can sit at home and feel sorry that I'm an old SOB or I can walk around, get some healthy exersize in and get back to playing form while letting someone know what a great putt that was that they just nailed.

The course is looks great for being early in the year.

I want to thank Dizzy and The Brit for going out the last two days and work on the course!:bowing: They cleaned out the bottom nine pin placements so we can MOVE THE BASKETS!!! We all get to enjoy the bottom nine in the original positions! They also worked on the number plates...so #1 is next to the practice basket... Old 18 will be played at 19 tomorrow and hole #20 will be played down the walkway by the volleyball court.

I could not agree more. Hard to watch and not throw but it was great to see all the DD regulars and some new faces while having a nice walk through the park.

Here are the results from the three tournies from last week.

I'm changing up the pts....tired of seeing a lot of 1's for people that didn't get in the top 10 places. So changing it how TT's points are allotted by where you finish and how many teams are playing for the day. So if 20 teams out for the night...1st place get 20pts and 2nd 19pts...so on till last place gets one point.

It's amazing how many people came out last Thursday (56 players) on such a beautiful night. Driving to the park the clouds seemed more dark and ready to dump rain for the evening, but it held off till the last 5 holes. Didn't have enough time for playoffs so we split money and points.

I brought out a bottle of wine...won by... Doh! can't tell you.

Ace pot is sitting around $100.

I cannot believe the turn out I had on a possible very ugly night for The Dubs... We had 64 brave souls come out and play and 2 people with a special announcement that I'm putting on my web site for everyone to read.

I have had cancer touch my family...I don't know if I can make this tourney, but if I'm not able to at least I can donate some $$$$ to this event.

Here we go... 11yrs of throwing Dabney Doubles and it was brought to my attention last night and again today about someone changing their score. I have the story related to me and now when I get home I will check the card to see if there is a 2 written over an erased 3. What to do... what to do?!?!?

I don't like cheating and especially at my place of enjoyment... the place that I have been at for 11 years making this the best doubles I can. For someone to cheat and you only pay $5 to play my tourney. There is something wrong with you...serious!

If all is true:
I'm leaning to ban him for the remainder of the year...which will take him out of the chance for BIG $$$$$$ at the end of the year. If he doesn't show any remorse when I speak to him... maybe an extra 20 tournies in 2013 may make him relize what he did. I'm a very honest person and I hope that all the hard work that anyone has done to make Dabney Doubles awesome is respected. I don't throw this tourney for my ego... I throw this tourney for anyone and everyone that wants to come out and enjoy an evening of competition and good people. Cheaters and A-holes not welcomed!

Well well well we are getting close to the end of another great season at Dabney Doubles. We have 3 tournies left then the two weeks of playoff and $$$$ day for the top 16 players. I am dropping 4 of the lower points per person... you will notice in red x-# (my score is x-6, but Brody is x-22 his lowest points)... if you haven't shown up for every event your score will probably not be affected.


Thank you for all that brought out CTP's for the last week.

I had another amazing amount of players again... 71! That would have been 4 weeks in a row with 72 players...not bad! Thank you to everyone that helps with the scorecards, Grummert, Dizzy, Eddie, The Brit...anyone else that has helped me this year. If you haven't noticed the teamwork to get all 18 cards done as close to 6pm so we can play...it amazes me everytime I look at the clock just before we start...6:05 oh yeah time to play!

This has been the craziest year for Aces at The Dubz... another ace last week by Fella on hole 13 to take home the $71.00. Ace pot will start again at 0, but my guess it will be around $70 for Thursday.

WOW!!!! That is the way we do it up in THE DUBZ @ DABNEY!!!

Another amazing evening at Dabney... I arrived early at the course...Dizzy and I moved a lot of the top positions and it seemed to play harder last night...winning score was only -10 :chinscratch:. When I arrived it didn't seem we would have a large turnout. I was TOTALLY wrong... filled the course 72 strong! People were asking when sign-ups will begin and I said 5:20'ish. I started 5:20'ish and had people running in for the last spot at 5:37! Now that's filling a course quickly! I even had to turn some players away...sorry!

As of 7/26/12 I have had 223 different players show up and play at The Dubz... THANK YOU :bowing:. I love throwing this tourney for you! :cheers:

The big news of the night...no ACES! So ace pot next week starting at $72 and will probably be around $144...just a guess :wink2:

Well I can't believe another year of the Dubs is going to be in the books for another summer after tonight. Next week playoffs/best of the Rest, two weeks Finals.

This is a way to finish the year... next week will be top 16 (I MADE IT... 5-6 years of missing it and only carring the money...now playing... oh yeah :rockon: ) and the Best of the Rest... the listing will be up on Monday sometime. Basically if you on the first page (not in the top 16), or have made all but four tournies, or you donated CTP's to The Dubz. I cannot believe it has been a week already and the end of Dabney Doubles 2012. Anyone is welcome to come out to watch Dabney's Top 16... playing ASAP after 5... when everyone is warmed up. Playing at the latest 5:30.

This year no skins... tired of seeing one group walk away with all the money :wink2:. So this year with all the extra players that have shown up to play... I increased the final field from 12-16. This many players doing a skins won't work in my finals so we are playing a regular round of dubs with 16 players (8-top and 8-bottom). Every team will be paid tomorrow :yay:!
