We have used 8 RPs/stroke in the past and have been close to the 7 RPs/stroke line.
I am thinking of playing from 4 AM pads: BSF East 14 and BSF West 9, 13 & 15. These are all holes I picked to help us save time and should put us squarely in the 8 RPs/stroke zone.

Are you even going to be playing the course on Saturday?!?
And we could go with 7 RPs/Stroke, get almost no lunch time and finish in the dark...but I have opted to not do so this time.
And you are wrong. We will have only played the one AM pad before. We didn't play ANY of the BSF West holes on AM or Pro pads...

I myself am leaning towards playing team golf. I dont minds 7RPs/Stroke and 4 holes isn't life or death considering daylight. Its not like they are holes we werent going to play, just longer. Like I said its the finals, let the best compete on the best holes possible

During week 7 when we played BSF East, we had over 45 minutes between the first and last card to be turned in during lunch. Some cards got almost no lunch. Others were bitching about lunch being too long...
The longer and harder the holes we play, the bigger the difference in times the cards come in. I am trying to balance speed of play and accuracy of the handicaps with the time we have available for daylight.
This is why I made the decisions I did.

Does throwing from those am pads change the hole from a par 5 to 4 or 4 to 3?
I would say certainly from a 5 to a 4 on the long East hole, but 9 & 13 West maybe not. And for hole 15, does ANYONE play from the Pro tee up the hill with no fairway?

:pirate:
Ok well my teams reason for wanting the longer pads mainly is because thats what we play and practice. Its the BSF layout and we have multiple players that want to compete in that event, and can use as much practice on the holes we will be playing. And yes we do play from the pro pad on 15.
Also Eddie is going to make it out Sat, which will give us 5 players to field. This will allow us to fill the Cali spot and to my knowledge of this years rules the higher the par the more shots for the Cali player. Still a disadvantage to a doubles team but would help.
Basically trying to piece together every bit of strategy I can with the limited number of team mates I will have.

Because i really want to play the mound hole on E15...
I have the OK to put the east baskets out on the islands for the weekend, we will just need to put them back Sunday before we leave. As far as E15 goes, I prefer the anny shot and the right placement on that hole. And we don't need to run 140 peeps over the grass on the mound in the rain this weekend.
We will be putting the West baskets in the ground tomorrow so if you'd like to come out and practice, please feel free to do so.:yay:
Major props to the ranger crew at the Milo/Tyron Creek office for all their help getting this shindig above board for the first time. We have filled out the paperwork and have reserved the 2 18-hole BSF courses for the weekend. Thanks also to Patrick Buckley and of course to Maestro Kirschling for all their hard work on these courses. It is great to work together towards a common goal. I am glad we can be part of the solution instead of a pain in the ass like usual.

I'm a nerd. We often have trouble reading subtle social cues, especially regarding humor and sarcasm.
We often interpert people's utterances too literally, thereby missing the message's metaphorical (or humorous) meaning.
It's probably why I don't enjoy comedians.

Whenever someone sees Claude "Caveman" show up tomorrow, please let him know his opponents aren't coming (ODW) and that he only needs to play one hole to beat them! I called him earlier, before I knew about ODW, and he was determined to come out even if the rest of the Discrupters didn't make it.
Thank you.

I am not going to be able to come out today. Ari has had me up for the last half hour with a wicked temp and sick to her stomach. I will miss you guys.
Thanks to Jordan and all his helpers for another great season. Till next year.

Wish I could've shown up on Saturday to give us a better shot at Darkhorse! Jordan, thanks for all your hard work, TDG was a blast and something I don't think I'll be missing next year. Discrupters, thanks for the fun season! OD&W, thanks for not showing up, that really softened the blow of not being able to show up for the weekend. Got my ass handed to me at NAD Park up in Bremerton today instead. Good stuff. Cheers!

We had no wins last year. But no trophy was given to a team member.
I don't know if our first win this year was VP. It felt like we won in NB.
I'm going to go back and stat geek the year for us soon.
The Discrupters deserved the DFL trophy last year.
We just never got it, or I'd love to pass it on to this year's DFL team.
We weren't even close.
Who was DFL this year?

I mistakenly thought it was VT and was just poking fun.
I thought George was worried about the trophy because it was his....
(I knew the answer was right up there, if I wanted to spend that much effort scrolling upwards.)
