Just find me or my wife Danni (we'll be wearing Disc Addiction shirts) and we'll be happy to get you registered!

FREE CAMPING
Yes, that's right, we can offer a ton of people free tent spots in our back yard.
Come anytime Friday and stay until Sunday, if you'd like. That will give you plenty of time to enjoy the DUBS on Friday and the recover from the players party Saturday night! :chug:
If you have any questions, feel free to call 850-426-1514
We DO still have slots open so of course we will be taking pre-registrations leading up to the tournament and then DAY OF sign-ups at the course.
Of course we'd prefer pre-registrations, so we can know how much food to order and get everyones cards set up.
Have you seen the weather forecast - PERFECT! Mid 70's and mostly sunny! What more could we ask for!!
LETS PLAY SOME WHIDBEY ISLAND DISC GOLF

UPDATE:
Course is looking good!
All the new t-signs have been installed.
The new map was installed.
All the pads for the NEW HOLES were poured and have set up nicely.
Registrations HAVE BEEN POURING in these last 3 days, thank you everyone for that because it really is great to have all the paperwork done ahead of time and have an accurate food count since we're serving lunch this year!
YES, we are still taking registrations, until we fill up! You can call me 850-426-1514 and get help or send an e-mail to gsdtimmay@yahoo.com with your paypal e-mail address, and division so we will zip you over an invoice.
I will post again tomorrow, or you can call and verify, that we have room for day of sign-ups. We added new holes to the course, so we do have some wiggle room to add more players if need be, but again we'd prefer you get PRE-REGISTERED so we can have an accurate food count for lunch.
If you haven't checked the weather - it should be incredible (Sunny and upper 70's) and make for an amazing day to be playing disc golf on Whidbey Island!
We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

We did have people signup at the start of doubles tonight, but we added a few new holes, so we can accommodate a few more walk ups tomorrow, but come early! We should be on the course about 7am to start check-ins.
Also ladies we currently have 4 women, so come out and join us!!

I read the posts that built up to the tourney, but how did it turn out?
Who won in their divisions? Scores?
Thanks.

Advanced-Jason VanProyen in a playoff over Josh Morris 105 (-15)
Intermediate- Chris Nixon
Age Protected- JJ Johnson
Novice- Brad VonHaden
Women's- Tracy VonHaden
Juniors- The Boy(my son Devin Baugher)
Not sure on the scores of the other division, my scoreboard is still locked up at the course but I know the Adv. Division since I was in it. We had 6 people, top 4 plus ties in the skins, and drew random partners to play with 65 bucks a hole for 6 holes. Everything was great, and I can say again with pride that I believe everyone who attended had an absolute blast!

Same time and place next year PLUS we're planning an "ice bowl" type tourney this February for the first time ever it'll be a PDGA event (tentatively Feb 4th, we're just waiting on park service permission for that date) We try to keep this forum updated and we always post details on the club forum ( www.WhidbeyIslandDiscGolf.com )
Once we get the board home we'll try to post a complete detailing, BUT some players asked to take their cards home, so some details might be missing!

Was this tourney a fundraiser for the club? If so, how much money got raised? Hopefully a pile.
Had a good time. Beautiful weather and lots of good people.

Nope not a fundraiser 100% payout went back to the players (after the players packs ($15 per player for a hotstamped SP line dga disc **retail value is $19**, a custom patch, breakfast snacks, and stickers), lunch ($6 per person), and custom engraved trophies ($30 per division) A lot of the divisions were small, so those divisions didn't get huge payouts, but hopefully they loved the players packs and the food :)
We don't have "cash paying sponsors" to add to the prize pools, they just donated prizes and a KICK ASS players party after :chug:

Thanks Tim. It was a great tourney and everyone had a GREAT time. You and your wife do a kick-ss job. The LS crew had a blast. Congrats to Jason VanProyen for his first win in Advanced (with many good Open players in it as well).
We need more tournaments up north. What a great group of people.
See you at the next tourney.
