Jub, what makes this an "XC" tier instead of a normal C tier?

LJ Jubner
February 12th, 2009, 11:56 PM
Not that it matters but ratings based

Tim
February 13th, 2009, 08:33 AM
Ahh, OK. So does that mean you'll be forcing players to play in the division their ratings say they should be?

LJ Jubner
February 13th, 2009, 09:00 AM
Thatys why it does not matter I can hope they do but it's still up to each player what division they play

Tim
February 13th, 2009, 09:17 AM
I like the idea of the ratings based divisions. Is there some kind of incentive you can offer to encourage people to do it? I know you say no novices on the flyer, but have you considered having an AM III division? I'd feel better about playing AM II (where my rating says I should be) if I were competing against people similarly rated.

LJ Jubner
February 16th, 2009, 01:35 PM
Lifted and reposted from Cont topics (South of the Border in a Banana Republic)

Jub Asked Sam If he was playing CSI this year?

I don't know. Can you tell me if the winner of the Am division will get 2 new DX discs or 3?

Last year:

Scrip was redeemd by 3 different vendors, Myself, Mandos and Bite shoes. The year before Sweet Plastic
was also there. Hopefully this year there will be even more.

Am had 7 players and paid 4

1st $65+ micro putt trophy 192 score 64 Avg
2st $40 198 score 66 Avg (915 Rated)
3rd $30 202 score 67.33 Avg
4th $20 208 score 69.33Avg

Advanced (where you should be playing) had 11 players and paid 5

1st $65+ micro putt trophy 186 score 62 Avg (939 rated)
2st $55 192 score 64 Avg
3rd $45 193 score 64.33 Avg
4th $35 195 score 65 Avg
5th $20 197 score 65.66 Avg

SeaTac is a course that if you can manage your way around your score will be fine. 66 (912) is my personal event best round. I Par'd the first 10 so you do the math

Side note;
Each tee sign has the hole ranking (1 hardest,18 easiest) and the scoring avg for Open, Adv Men, Ladies, Age Protected and Am II divisions respectfully.

[SIZE="5"]And the painted rocks for distances from the basket is still a good

I asked Dave at the Aloha Sushi Classic if he was going to be at CSI and he said that he and Melo are planning to be there. It's fun to watch the big guns make a course like Seatac seem like a manageable endeavor. Nate's going to be there too, first time playing the course, should make for some good competition.

If so, ask the guy currently in first place at the CSI: http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=8706&year=2009&include_ratings=1#Open. Go Brody!!

Thnak to all who attneded. The day went great (at least for me)
First round 940 start . (3 3/4 hr round) PM 230 start (3 1/3 hr)

And the best news is 10 AM beating . It should be interesting tomorrow.

Final 9 Exhibition Skins hole's 7,11-18
CSI is putting up $100,
Depot has added $90. (you da man milla)
If the 5 who make the skins each added $25 They would pay out $315

Right now the five would be Brody, 3 1000's and someone who got HOT! I doubt you see much laying up for that kinda dough!!!!

Open Purse $1020
1st $290 + sweet Micro putt trophy @$50
2 $200
3 $150
4 $100
5 $85
6 $75
7 $65
8 $55 (Money Back and can still win ace pot)

If you are around SeaTac about 3pm Sun stop by and see the fun.

I predict fireworks.

The last time I remember there was a bounty for shooting under par and he claimed it, first person to do it in an event or something like that. Jub do you remember it, was that last year or the year before?

Yes there was a bounty $50 from the vermin (who never paid it). There are three -4 tourney rounds, Dave and Avery, I think Skelli and Brody a has three -3 rounds now.

Everyone had a great time (the last round took almost 4 hrs). Thanks to all who attended and found their way out on Sun for the nine.

The 9 was pretty neat also Brody, Nate, Dave,Chandler, and Big Mike, Chan man won the first skin, the next 3-4 weer pushed till Dave hit about a 100' for Bird on 16. Then drove over and past 17 basket Yes, I said past 17 basket from the box, Had a crappy lie and took three. Nate and Dave got nasty on 18 and threw the huge ani off the box. Skins final total $190, 11 total holes (first 8, two tie all tie The last hole and additional holes you had to tie to advance) Chan man-1, Nate-2, Dave-6.

I caught most of Brody's 1050 rated second round on film, and it's pretty amazing to see him string together so many 3's on the back. I think he bogied hole 4 and 18 and that's it.

The amazing show was the final nine skins. I'll probably never again witness a deuce on 16 (~620 ft) followed by launching a drive over the top of 17's bucket. Unreal.

Anyway I wanted to thank my backroom staff
Thanks to Depot and Mandos for the great flymart. Scrip was hopping between them.
As always Edge for his online prowess.
Gordy K for keep the tools running as well as the 9 official
Matt Gill for working to get the course ready and helping with the board.
Chuck and Tim for rallying the cards all three rounds while I answered questions.

All of these efforts allowed us to be on time, run a quality event and get players home at a decent time (Seattle - Missoula 450 miles one way). Hooray!

Jub job? or job jub?

I wanted to thank Dave for his little confession on Sunday. We all strive to play to the best of our ability and get frustrated when we don't. Usually the response is ..."the course sucks" "why is this?" "why not that?" Whatever the reason it's human nature to react this way. I found it refreshing, That someone with a much higher skill level than most of us can be just as frustrated by their perceived poor play and then lash out at the person they feel can do something about it (not their game just the other things). The refreshing part is the admission of their faults to all who attended and the growth that comes from it.

Kudos Dave, you are truly a professional worth looking up too. jub

Kudos Dave, you are truly a professional worth looking up too. jub

Oh, I want to hear the rest of this story...
