Okay so I might be going out on a limb here but I would like to start an organized thread that is all about actively trading discs.
Kinda like discaroo but dealing with local people (ive been ripped off too many times on that site). I know that currently people are doing this but I would like to have more members involved and trading.
I know everyone has a stack of quality discs that they currently don't throw or will never throw again. But most people do not bother trying to get rid of them even though there are people who want those discs. If we can get everyone to post what they have and willing to trade or sell, then we can browse each others posts and message each other if we are interested in a transaction.
Post a list of discs you are willing to part with including condition it is in and then if you are looking to sell them only or if you are also interested in trades.
If you are interested in anything, please message the poster so that this thread does not get too messy with comments.
We will see if this actually catches on....
Thanks
I am looking to sell these, can ship them or meet up in Eugene. I will consider trades but I have wayy too many discs so it would have to be something special. But I do like max weight star eagle-X.

What does "organized thread" mean (vs. unorganized)?

I had this idea due to the lack of threads in the buy/sell/trade category. I know we all have extra discs we wouldn't mind parting with. So I'm doing this in hopes to encourage more people to post what they would be willing to part with. Like the quote One mans trash is another mans treasure. Basicially this thread would consist of many lists of discs and people can browse all available discs by just scrolling down. And sellers will update their lists once discs are gone

Not everyone wants to do all of that and the ones that do are already using this part of the site.

Jesus, people, chill and let the player post what s/he wants! Sounds like a fine idea to me...

Agreed, sounds like a good idea... I'd like to see more trade lists as well. I'll post mine here when I'm feeling more motivated.

you should have to live in the NW. It gets old when people outside of the northwest join our site just to sell or buy plastic. I was really annoyed when I asked Andrew Rich about Supersofts, and then before I see that he responded, somebody from out of the northwest buys it from him. Isn't that kinda like going to a Garage sale and buying something that somebody else is holding? Anyway, my reason for posting isn't complaining. I would just like to see a locals only trading place.

You were really annoyed when you asked me about a disc and I sold it to someone else? I'm sorry about that but he and I have a working relationship and I threw it in on a larger deal. Forgive me for trying to keep bonds with out of state buyers.... Should I limit who I let order from my site?....No more buyers outside the NW would mean about 75% less business. Doesn't really make sense to stay in business. Sorry you lost out on the Supersoft. Good luck.

I don't care that it sold to an out of stater. I just think that when someone inquires about an object they might get the first opportunity to buy it.
Andrew, I think you missed my point
example:
I go to a Flea Market and ask a seller if he has something special not on display. He goes to his car and gets that special thing and hands it to me to see. Then somebody else says to the seller "I will take what that guy is looking at", and it's sold before I can say that I will take it. It's inconsiderate, that's all, and if you cared about keeping bonds with in state buyers you will remember this.
Do you get it now? This has nothing to do with you selling it to somebody out of state.
sorry, back to topic!

Yeah, gotta be honest, that Buzz is worth nowhere near that price, especially used.

Not used...just the fleck in plastic. Thank you for your price critique.
I go by what I see ending prices on most of the forums and auction sites.
(a.k.a. here, ebay, dgr, clearwater store and dgcr). I did lower the lot price though.

I get your frustrations. Believe me I've been on the other side of the deal a lot. For me I chalk it up to; someone asked about a disc, said they would be right back to look at it, I go to the back room and find one and bring it out to the shelf, in the mean time someone with cash in hand walks up and offers to buy that disc. As a business I can't turn down a sale that's in hand. (for example, how many times has someone said they'd "be right back" to buy something from your garage sale etc only to not return). I'm sorry how things worked out but it's just Disc Golf. Throw Plastic At Metal. Cheers,

How about a Tupperware party. Maybe someone in Oly could host a PDX-SEA disc swap meet. Everyone grab their old plastic and do some horse trading. More like a FleaMart than FlyMart, but it beats all the computer work to put up a bunch of discs and maintain it so you don't have to PM 12 different people that you already sold that one disc.
