New driver from Innova with the BSF fundraiser stamp.
"The Archon is a disc similar to the Wraith with a little more high speed turn and a little less fade. Speed 11, Glide 5, Turn -2 and Fade 2. It functions as a utility disc for high power throwers. High power players will be able to throw straight hyzer flip shots, long turnover, hyzers, and long roller all with the same disc. Less powerful players will be able to use this disc as a long straight 'flyer' good in all conditions. "

Did Innova just take the DD2 from Discmania and rename/replastic it? I think they are the same disc.
looks flippier than the DD from Discmania

It's not fast enough. Plus Innova molds Discmania anyways.

I love the Archon! The first time I threw it straight and it immediately turned over right and died :(
Next time I released with hyzer and it leveled out and flew forever! Reminds me of my old CE leopard on steroids(I would release the same way). Now I am getting so I can get it to turn right with some control really far into my flight. I don't do rollers but this disc can do that too! I am really glad I gave the disc a whirl. I thought I was going to like the Ape better, but I think that the Archon is winning me over. I will save the Ape for dogleg lefts.

I'm happy to report that 2/3 of the funds raised by the sales of the BSF Pre-Releas Prototype Archons WILL be used for updating and re-powder coating all 36 baskets at Milo McIver State Park!!!:yay:
We will be doing 9 baskets at a time and will circulate them into the course until all have been completed and ready for this years Beaver State Fling!
When you purchase these discs locally from the BSF staff and through Discgolfvalues.com know that you are helping make this basket project happen!!!
Thank you to all who have supported the Fling in the past and present!!!

Discgolfvalues.com has the x-outs left, which is what I throw. The only problem with the one I got was there was no glitter in it. Then I was in Portland and found a regular one at NextAdventure, they still had 2 when I was there.
Glad to know the money is going to a good cause. I probably bought enough Archon's to powder coat one basket by myself! Now I hope I get a change to play at the Beaver State Fling!

Jeff Mittl, Jeff Haggerty, Kel Carver, and myself all have them. Kel and I are on in Beaverton, the Jeffs are on the east side. Pick the person closest to you and send them a PM.
If you want to make the trip to Beaverton I'll be available all weekend. Pretty much stuck at my house so I won't be able to meet you anywhere, but you are welcome to stop by any time during the day (that goes for anyone who wants to pick one up).
Send me a PM if interested and I'll shoot you my address.

It will depend on if there are any left. The Jeffs are planning on taking most of what's left down to the GNO this weekend. I suspect that there won't be many left after that.

Got my hands on an amazing protostar one yesterday. Compared it to the DD and the PD from DiscMania and it is not the same but has similar features of both... mine has the "flashy" reflective silver stamp and has some pink/puple swirl just waiting to beat in. I'll let you know how it flys next week.

I recently bought a magnet putter with that flashy silver stuff on it. Big mistake. On the one last sunny day we had I pulled that thing out, it caught the sun and nearly blinded me.. I will never buy a disc again with reflective properties. I enjoyed the five minutes it took my dog to shred it to chunks.

Star Archons are out now. I believe, but dont let that stop you from getting a BSF champ Archon. I bought one, but had to make my own dye on it :)

There is no mistaking the Vulcan top on these, with its distinctive modified XB bump on the flight plate.
