Right back atcha, brother.

How about a trade? I'll see if I can make it out to Dabney for at least one of your dubs if you make the trip out to Orchard for one of mine.

That is a hell of an idea...now need to figure what time I would have to leave from D'town Lake Oswego to make it to your dubs.

I leave the Kruze Woods area around 4:00 to get there by 4:30. It get's a little slower as the evening goes on. I'd say between 4:30 and 4:45 to get there by 5:30, just to be safe.

Now, what time will I have to leave Lake O to get to Dabney in time?

I can't wait! Let's get a huge turnout for week 1!!!
I'm bringing a sweet CTP prize, so don't miss that.
I'll likely only be able to attend the first 2 weeks this year, because on May 1st I'm moving to Minnesota on May 1. I may visit this summer and try to play another week, but for the most part I'm only here for 2 weeks... so I'm ace hunting, and bounty hunting! :)

The weather was slightly cool but dry and there were light winds in the first round. We had 40 players for week two.

Jeff Larson and Michael Trask teamed up for -16 and first place.

There were four CTPs this week. Scott Hill won a Champion Sidewinder donated by Rainy Day Games on hile 1, a Champion TL donated by Kevin Davis on hole 3, and a T-shirt donated by Stumptown Disc Golf on hole 7. Jeff Larson parked hole 5 and won a Larson Suprise (rubber chicken) donated by.....Jeff Larson. No fair, Jeff!

Ben Gookin aced hole 8 with a River and claimed the $38.00 ace pot. Nice job, Ben! Unfortunately, the random ace of the night was hole 6.

The secret score was -14. Two teams picked up coupons for $5.00 off any disc at Rainy Day Games.

Thanks to our sponsors for week 2: Next Adventure, Rainy Day Games, Stumptown Disc Golf, The Chick Flick, Kevin Davis, and Jeff Larson.

A light turnout this week as 26 golfers enjoyed clear skies and breezy conditions. Crist Garcia and Steve Gelhar took first place by shooting -15.

Andrew Nava aced hole 4 with a borrowed Classic Roc (it's his now). He nearly black-aced the same hole (chain out) from #9 teepad. He shared the $24 ace pot with his partner. Andrew also won a Discraft Surge donated by Stumptown Disc Golf by being the closest to the pin on hole 4. Luis Nava had the longest putt of the night on hole 6 and won a DGA Sparkle Rogue donated by Rainy Day Games. Kevin O'Brien won the CTP on hole 7 and took home a Larson Suprise (a set of trick dice).

The Rainy Day Games secret score was -16 and went unclaimed tonight. The Next Adventure random ace was hole 9 and also went unclaimed tonight.

Another beautiful week. 39 players had a great time under clear skies. A pretty decent wind in the first half of the round kept the scores from going too low. Dan Luke and Jeff Torrence won a playoff to take the win at -13.

Hole 3: Karl Denfeld won a Larson Suprise (mini garbage can and patches) donated by Jeff Larson

Wow. There was some serious hot shooting at Orchard Park this week.

Congratulations to Albert Ricker and Cashly Herman who shot -17 and took home first place. As the first female to be on the winning team this year, Cashly wins a spot in this year's Chick Flick on August 13-14 at Horning's Hideout.

Just how hot was the shooting this week? Last week, -14 down would have won. This week, it was good enough for last cash. Last week, -10 was last cash. This week, -10 would have put you in 17th place. There were only two scores higher than -10 and the highest score of the night was -7. I'd have to go back and look at past years, but those may both be TT records.

Oh yeah, there were some aces, too.
Albert Ricker, Hole 2
Albert Ricker, Hole 9
Chris Graham, Hole 7
James Szlavich, Hole 5

We rolled $37 from last week into this weeks ace pot ($38) for $75. I added $5.00 to make it an easily dividable $80, meaning each ace was worth $20.

CTPS:
Hole 1 - Discraft Hat donated by Craig Nielsen: Randy Hamlin with a Champion Rhino
Hole 3 - Star Monster donated by Rainy Day Games: Zac Beltz with a Whippet
Hole 5 - Discraft Magnet donated by Stumptown Disc Golf: James Szvalich with a Valkyrie
Hole 7 - Larson Suprise (two drink cozies and a package of orange crayons): Chris Graham with a Warlock.

The Rainy Day Games secret score this week was -4 and wasn't claimed.
The Next Adventure random ace hole was hole 4 and wasn't claimed.

A big thanks goes out to our week 6 sponsors: Rainy Day Games, Next Adventure, Stumptown Disc Golf, The Chick Flick, Jeff Larson, and Craig Nielsen.

The hot scores during week 6 got me curious as to exactly how hot they were, so I did a little digging:

Week 6 2011 won't go down in the record books as the hottest shooting week in the history of Tuesday Twos, but it was close.

Week 9, 2010 - There were no scores higher than -10. -10 would have tied you for last place.
Week 10, 2010 - There was only one score higher than -10. Last place was -7.
Week 6, 2010 - There were two scores higher than -10. Last place was -7.
Week 1, 2008. There were several scores higher than -10, but last place was -7 (4 teams).

For fewest scores in the single digits, week 6 2011 ranks 3rd all time.
For the best last place score, week 6 2011 ranks 2nd (3 way tie) all time.

Most of the other weeks were not even close.

Note: There are no online records for the first two years of Tuesday Twos.
2010 results can be found here: http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/Tuesday_Twos_2010/leaderboards

Hole 3: Ben Gookin won a Larson Suprise (a fairy candle holder) donated by Jeff Larson.

Congratulations to Crist Garcia and Albert Ricker who shot -16 to take first place this week.

Fireworks were provided by Roy Black who aced hole 3 and hole 5. Roy grabbed the $66 ace pot and grabbed a couple of CTPS. He became the third player this year to get two aces in one night and immediately put himself in the running for the Rainy Day Games triple ace bounty.

We had 45 players this week - our biggest week of the season so far.

Congratulations to Albert Ricker and Roy Black who shot -17 to take first place this week.

We had two aces this week. Jeff Ricker picked up his first ace on hole 4. Roy Black continued his hot shooting from last week and grabbed his third ace in two weeks. Roy aced hole five on his second time through to grab his thrid ace of the season and win the Rainy Day Games Triple Ace bounty. Roy will pick up a $50 gift certificate to Rainy Day Games.

CTP/Long Putt:

Hole 1 (CTP): Kevin O'Brien wins a glow Stalker donated by Stumptown Disc Golf.
Hole 9 (Long Putt): David Zimmerman wins a water bottle donated by Rainy Day Games.

Secret Score: The Rainy Day Games Secret Score for the week was -17. Albert Ricker and Roy Black each win $5.00 off of their next disc purchase at Rainy Day Games.

Random Ace: The Next Adventure Random Ace was hole 1 and went unclaimed this week.

Season standings: We've reached the halfway point of the regular season, so it's probably about time to start paying attention to the season standings. Luis Nava has built a nice little cushion for himself and is sitting in first place with 147 points. Albert Ricker and Dave Clement are tied for second at 132 points. Remember, players only keep their ten best scores. The scores near the top will likely bunch back together as the season progresses. Stay tuned!

43 players enjoyed a beautiful summer evening at Orchard Park last night.

Jeff Larson came all the way back from Minnesota to team up with first-time Tuesday-twoer Mark Lawrence and shoot -16 for first place. Congrats!

Steve Gelhar aced hole 5 with his signature Whippet. In addition to the $106 acepot, Steve grabbed a hat and bag donated by Rainy Day Games.

In other CTP news, Kevin Brito was closest on hole 1 and grabbed a Discraft Magnet donated by Stumptown Disc Golf and Duncan Gookin hit the longest putt on hole 2 to win this weeks Larson Suprise (posters).

The Rainy Day Games Secret Score was -9 and went unclaimed this week.

We had a couple of milestones this week. 49 players (including 14 playing their first TT of the year) made it our biggest turn out of the year. We also had our first rain of the season. It only lasted for about one hole, so we got pretty lucky.

Congratulations to Jacob Rogers and Andre Frederic who shot -15 for the win.

Aces:
It was another three-ace night. Vincent Davis grabbed his first ever ace on hole 7. Andre Frederic also aced hole 7 a little while later. Chad Carter wrapped things up on hole 3 with his last throw of the night. After splitting the $47 ace pot (with a little extra thrown in to make the math easier), each team took home $16. The ace pot once again rolls back to $0 for next week.

CTP/Long Putt:
Hole 1: James Parker wins a DGA Squall donated by Rainy Day Games
Hole 4: Sarah Brugman wins a Chick Flick water bottle donated by The Chick Flick
Hole 8 (Long Putt): Scott Hill wins a flask donated by Stumptown Disc Golf.

The Rainy Day Games secret score for the week was -18.
The Next Adventure Random Ace for the week was hole 6.

A big thanks goes out to our sponsors Rainy Day Games, Stumptown Disc Golf, Next Adventure, and The Chick Flick.

A programming note: We will have a guest TD for week 14. Steve Ellis will be running the show while Matthew and Scott Hill go to summer camp. Your regularly scheduled TD will return on week 15.

It's hard to believe that the 2011 season is about to come to an end. Tonight (8/16) is the last night of the regular season and the finals will be next week (8/23). So what's all this talk about the playoffs? Here are some details.

The top 16 teams in the points standings will make the playoffs and will be randomly matched with someone else from the playoff pool. The complete leaderboard can be found at http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/2011_Tuesday_Twos/leaderboards. The 8 teams will be playing for the the big prize as well as the coveted bragging rights that go along with being the Tuesday Twos Champion.

Players in the playoffs will need to pay $5.00 to play the final week (this is a change from last year). The money collected will be added to the finals payout.

The finals payout will be as follows:
First Place: $120
Second Place: $80
Third Place: $44

Can you play on the 23rd if you didn't make the playoffs? YES! YES! YES! We will have two pools of play: The playoff pool and the general pool. If you are in the general pool you will receive a partner randomly from someone else in the general pool. Players from the general pool will be playing for prize money collected from the entry fees of the general pool only. They will not be elligible to win prize money from the playoff pool (this is a change from last year).

There will be one ace pot for everyone.

We will have a CTP throw-off on hole one if no aces are hit in the final week. Payout will be 75% of the ace pot to the closest to the pole and 25% to the second closest.

Thanks to everyone for a great 2011 Tuesday Twos season! Have fun!

The 2011 regular season is in the history books! All that's left is what's sure to be a great finals next week. I'd like to thank a few folks that made this season a great one: Next Adventure, Rainy Day Games, Stumptown Disc Golf, The Chick Flick for their sponsorship, CTPS, and bounties throughout the year. Thanks to Jeff Larson and everyone who donated CTPs all year long. Thanks to Steve Ellis, Dave Zimmerman, Matthew Hill, Kent Smothers and everyone else (I know I forgot a few - sorry!) who helped with taking names and scores throughout the year. And finally, thanks to the 175 great players who made it out to Tuesday Twos at least once this year - without you, this season would not have been possible. And now, on to this weeks news.

Congratulations to Albert Ricker and Crist Garcia who shot -15 to take first place this week.

Xander Waibel was rockin' his lucky cowboy hat and used that good luck to ace hole 4 and grab the $82 ace pot. Unfortunately, his hat wasn't quite lucky enough to grab the Next Adventure Random Ace which was hole 6.

The Rainy Day Games Secret Score was -2.

CTPS:
Hole 1: Discmania TD, donated by Rainy Day Games: Tyler Payne
Hole 3: DGA Rogue, donated by Rainy Day Games: John Nava
Hole 5: Glo Stalker, donated by Stumptown Disc Golf: Julie Ediger

That's it! Thanks again to all the great players we've had throughout the year. See you next week!

In the "Best of the Rest" pool, Chris Kuhlman and Eric Ediger shot -16 for the win thanks, in part, to Eric's ace on hole 5.

Chris Kuhlman / Eric Ediger -16
Jacob Rogers / Bruce Fisher -14 (Jacob aced the CTP throw-off)
