2011 State of Jefferson FlipOut League
Discgolfers doing good deeds with the power of Doubles action and Adventure.

The SOJ is starting its 6th year. Last year we started raising money to fund Disc Golf activities for youth. This includes purchasing equipment, conducting clinics, and tounaments for youth. Last year we raised enough to purchase baskets for the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon. We raised money for the Riddle Education Center and Gateway Education. We also held our first disc golf camp for the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley.

This year each of our 6 monthly tournaments will raise money for The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Umpqua Valley, Rouge Valley & Southwestern Oregon, Riddle Educaiton Center, Gateway Education, and the University of Oregon Disc Golf Club.

Fundraiser for Riddle Education Center

#3 July 23rd Selma, OR Lake Selmac DGC
Fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club of Rouge Valley

#4August 6th Crescent City, CA Beachfront Park DGC
Fundraiser for Gateway Education

#5 September 24th Cottage Grove, OR
Fundraiser for U of O Disc Golf Club

#6 October 8 & 9 Glide, OR Whistlers Bend DGC (Finals)
Fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club of Umpqua ValleyFees:
$25 per player
$10 to pay out
$10 to the good deed (Fundraiser)
$1 to Ace Pot
$4 to Finals
We'll pay the top 1/3 in each division

Divisions:
Competitive Division: Play for Cash Prize

Recreational Division:
Will play for script. Rec division is for beginners, 1st year players, or players who have never placed in the top 5 in any completive tourney.

Format:
2 rounds of Random Flip Doubles. We will flip for partners each round and pay out for each round.
Each round will be best shot.

Event Day Schedule:
8:30 - 9:30 am Sign Ups
9:30 am Players Meeting & FlipOut
10:00 am 1st round starts
2nd round players meeting will begin 1 hour after the end of round 1.

So make plans to become part of the 6th Annual State of Jefferson FlipOut League. It's a ton of fun and for great causes. Our goal is to help grow the sport of Disc Golf and we couldn't think of a better way to so than providing funds to get the youth playing. Lee and I hope to see you all there.

Check it out Folks. We had to change the date of our August gig in Crescent City. It is now being held on the 6th.

It was a small but fun and productive start to the 6th SOJ. We had a great time in North Bend. 12 golfers braved 9 holes of rain and then were rewarded with 27 holes of sun. :nahnah:

Rick Brown was the big winner taking 1st in both rounds and earning Big Fish honors to start this years league.:yay: Nathan Crutchfield was right behind him with a 1st and 2nd.:rockon: Jeff Brown was 3rd overall placing 2nd and 3rd.

Thank you to everyone who came out. We raised $123 for the Boys & Girls Club of Southestern Oregon!:yay: We also dontated 2 portable baskets the club with money raised from the 2010 finals and several people donated plastic to give to the kids. :rockon:

Funds raised will be donated to The Riddle Education Center Charter School. We'll play 39 to 45 holes. Lunch will be included in your entry fee and feature Fred Simons' famous dutch oven BBQ.:cheers: I hear Fred will have the classic rock reved up while we're playing. :rockon: We may even envoke the play it where it lies if in water rule. :jumpspin: Please RSVP by June 19th so we can get a idea of how much food to cook up for lunch. If you didn't get in to the Beaver State Fling, you'll want to join us for a rocking golfing time.:yay:

Hey Lawson was a blast but that was so earlier this summer. We have changed the location of the event in September from Cottage Grove DGC to Dexter DGC. A Pile of Leaggers have asked us to change so we are. it has been two years sense we were there last (SUMMER of 08 I am thinking) anyway it will be on Saturday the 24th. Sign Up starts at 8:30 am we are looking to raze funds for the U of O Disc golf club for this event. If any Clubers can show we would like that.( then we can hand you the moneys if any we make right to you folks). Come and Play the Best Random Flip Summer Series in the State of Jefferson with us. ( well Dexter is just outside our northern border but you get the Idea.) Until then...May the Folf be with you.....Always.
