Since the Pine Jam was moved to Memorial Day weekend, would people be interested in playing a non-fundraiser tournament (most likely sanctioned) on June 4?
I'll have a better idea of whether or not the tournament layout is good enough for a sanctioned event, but if all goes well would this be something you would be interested.
Let me know.
Thanks

Is anyone else interested? I know it's a little early yet, but I like to get an early start on things.
I'll wait until after the WOUDGC Fundraiser Tournament to ask for more input.

It depends on how much I like the course when I play the WOU tourney.
I do like the idea of a one-day C-tier event.

Yeah, I think I'll have a better idea of whether or not to do it after this tournament.

June 5th sounds good(i can only play on Sundays), other than that I would totally be interested.

Yes, I loved the course (assuming it would be a similar layout). I would definitely come down and play again Chase. You run a good tourney. C-tier sanctioning would be nice. Saturday is my preferred day (Sundays work too).

Well, I already have that date on the Master Calendar so I'm hoping we (the new club for the Polk County Area) can start getting things together for the tournament. It won't be exactly the same course, but I'm pushing to keep the signature hole 3. Everything else on the other side of the stream will most likely get taken out.
I do have plans to make great holes elsewhere though, so don't worry. I also have plans to change some of the existing holes after getting feedback from some players. Here's a sample:
Moving the pad for hole 8 (the double island hole) back about 30 feet so you have to throw through over the old tee pad. This makes the throw about 290' to the island.
Hopefully, I'll get more information here soon, so be on the lookout.

Looks like this isn't going to happen. I've been trying, but for some reason it's been really hard to get people to call me back. I'll put this on the back burner and try again later.

There are already two events in the Portland area that weekend. There's the Chick Flick fundraiser, as well as the DGCR northwest meetup/tournament.
