Thanks everyone, Vegas was a fun and challenging event this year with more OB than in years past and some of the windiest conditions I have played in on day 1. I improved my score by 2 strokes each round though my round ratings dropped by 10 points each time. So the wind was a major factor all weekend as the course became roughly 3.5 strokes easier each day. The first day was sustained winds anywhere from 30 to 60mph. The best score was only -1, I shot a +2 featuring a 15 footer that hit the ground before it reached the pole, a 3 putt, a missed mando, and a number of OBs. That was pretty much the story for everyone as about a 25 footer was the longest putt I saw made, with a tailwind of course.
Day 2 was windy and much colder with wind chill below 40 degrees. I struggled because I hadnt brought as much cold weather gear as I should have. 2 hand warmers helped but I could still only muster even par.
Day 3 was much nicer, still 10-15mph winds made putting difficult but it was warmer and felt closer to the sport we know as disc golf (Day 1 felt more like throwing paper plates). In the end I shot a -2 which was ok as my shoulder was really starting to hurt me by day 2 and 3. Now I am resting up trying to get healthy for the Memorial. Thanks for the support!
