My brother and I cant get the website to work, same issue with nothing showing up in the cart when we click "add to cart" we do want to play though!

Had the same issue but managed to get through on another PC. It's prolly a compatibility issue with IE (or security settings) and their site. Hope they use the $4 processing fee to make things a bit more user-friendly. I liked the added touch of setting the default to "donate money" as well giving the extra option of, um, donating money when checking out. I donated $4 on the mandatory "processing fee" line.

I miss the days of good ol' snail mail!

Matt's just rubbing it in since he won't be pocketing more of my money through this event! :nahnah:

Prolly not the best place for this conversation so I'll leave now ;)

There are roughly 15 spots available for the pro divisions. If they are not filled by April 30, we are going to fill them off of the wait list. There are two reasons for this:

1) To allow us to have accurate numbers for players' packs; and
2) To prod the fence-sitters to sign up.

Well MM1 is in the B Pool (http://www.rosecityopen.com/schedule)with the Pros. There is a little less wiggle room over there, so to speak. We are anticipating a few more Pros will register.

Also it remains our goal to stick to the traditional 18 hole course with no added holes or ghost cards.

All in all this adds up to having friends on waitlists, which is not fun.

We were wondering the same thing, actually. We're looking into it and will add Nancy to the list. It's weird that yours came through and not hers...This happened with another FW1 as well. I'm beginning to think that paypal thinks that the RCO is in cahoots with wikileaks.

Final schedule and pool assignments will be posted tomorrow.

Pool assignments are now official as posted on rosecityopen.com (http://www.rosecityopen.com/). Basically we just removed the asterisks as our tentative groupings have stayed the same.

The details of the daily schedules that are posted on the same page remain the same.

We have had a couple small changes to the registration list due to withdrawals, and have contacted (by both email and phone) the next people on the list in the respective divisions. We'll continue to update the site if and when things continue to change. In addition we will be sending out an email over the next couple days to everyone on the waitlist(s) with our plan for any morning of the tournament no-shows and waitlisters.

Good question. And since we hate wasting people's time, we're trying out something new. Listen up!

A Flight folks can check in early on Friday evening or Saturday morning before their round.

B Flight folks can check in early on Friday evening or before 11:30 am on Saturday morning. B Flight people do not need to be present to check in. You may send a text message to 503.318.4275 to check in. If you have any unpaid fees, like non-pdga member fee ($10), we will find you before the players' meeting to settle up. This only works for people in B Flight.

Check in for Doubles on Friday begins at 5 pm. Shooting to tee off around 530-545. I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Jordan Lewis for
taking this up.

Sponsorships dollars are where they need to be and raffle prizes are coming along. Concert tickets, basket, crazy discs, Innova swag, NA swag, gift certificates, etc. Let us know if you or your club would like to donate anything for the raffle. The more the merrier!

Yep they are in the tourny settings and they are mostly in the longs.

#3 is to the right (is that short or long?)
#16 is short
#17 is short
#18 is medium (not the extra long on the side hill)

The rest are long.

Come check them out at doubles tonight and/or doubles on Friday (more info to follow).

Please double check at tournament central when you arrive to ensure that we indeed checked you in, read: got your text, as the morning is sure to be busy and may not have time to respond to everybody's texts.

I was just informed that chips have been spread at the big trouble spots at the course. Next time you see Dave Blado, shake his hand and tell him thank you! Thanks, Dave.

Thanks everyone. Justin and I feel pretty good about how things flowed during the whole weekend.

There were many highlights for us but I would like first to thank everyone for responding maturely to the initial and unanticipated overlap on the baseball fields Saturday morning. You all handled that very well considering the rather, um, unimpressive behavior of the people involved with their games. Neither they nor us had been made aware of each others events in advance by the Parks which was disappointing. The OB line seemed to take care of that situation pretty well, and didnt take away from hole 1 too dramatically.

The play on the course was impressive. We would like to congratulate all of our division winners with an extra shout out to first time PDGA winner, Mike Best (Pro Masters).

There were 2 aces and both were hit on hole #3 on Sunday: Eddie Florence in the morning during his second round and Todd Jordan in the afternoon during the final round. Unfortunately for them neither bought into the $210 ace pot :( this despite Justin's best efforts prior to the event to talk them and everyone into buying in.....Justin and I have decided to keep that money in the Stumptown Pier Park fund. We look forward to using that money to help continue the course improvements as we work with Portland Parks and Rec to help make sure it remains the awesome course that it is, and we hope you all feel good about the opportunity to leave something positive behind from all of the 2011 RCO players.

We will provide some more event info and summaries here once the dust settles. All of the players of the event can expect an email soon with a summary of the important stuff, our thank you's, and perhaps some of our ideas for future events.

Thanks again everyone and we look forward to hearing your stories and feedback and seeing the images and videos from the event. There were multiple cameras rolling at times it seemed, hopefully capturing the stuff that we didnt get to watch ourselves!

To: Lund/Hiatt Thank you for a great experience! I hope you come back for more events because you made a lot of people happy. One very funny thing happened that I have never seen in disc golf. I decided to caddy for Stephen Sines' last round and everyone saw he was rockin' the mohawk. Whenever I am playing doubles or caddy for someone, I like to stand behind them about 15' and see their putt. Hole six has Sines lining up his putt and as usual I am looking to see what he's faced with and then it happened, his mohawk lined up perfectly with the pole. He just needed the red square on the back of his head and it would have been complete.

An email summary and thank you just went out to all players from the 2011 RCO for whom we have an email address.

The TD report has been submitted and the results should be included in the next pdga update (June 21st).

Included in the email were links to some short online surveys that we are encouraging anyone who would like to provide feedback on the 2011 RCO as well as input regarding the 2012 tournament, to fill out. There is a survey for everyone: those who played in the event and anyone who did not. The links are here too, just pick the one that applies (only 5 or 6 questions each):

Pro player 2011 Rose City Open (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GDXVHYG)

Amateur player 2011 Rose City Open (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/G9X97CK)

Did not play 2011 Rose City Open (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DR7SZGH)

Thanks for any feedback!
