I've put together a schedule of Oregon and Washington events. The data came from the PDGA, Treelove's calendar and posts on this forum. While Treelove's calendar is the authority for all events great and small, it's nice to have a one-page summary.

I'll keep this first post updated as more details roll in. Please post with updates and corrections. Thanks.

Yes, in my addled mind all the tournaments from the last twelve years run together into one giant summer. So someone let me know if *something* is happening at Bryant, Timber Linn, etc. this year.

This is a great effort, but don't we already have a list of local events (http://nwdiscgolf.info/)? :chinscratch:People, people, people...

I know about (and admire) Treelove's calendar (as stated in the original post). This is not an attempt to supercede it. It is an attempt to create a single-page summary of Oregon's major (two day and/or PDGA) events for 2011. Thanks for your support. ;)

I agree that the list above complements the calendar.

(Stimpi, you CAN filter the calendar to show only WA events, just click Options, Search, and choose "Event in WA", and Search.)

yes, King of the Mountain Tour are all two day B-Tier lift accessed events waiting on final word from Mt. B, edited the above list to add proposed venue

Not a WA or OR event, but the Zoo Town Open in Missoula, MT is an A/B tier event held on June 11 - 12. It is also a qualifing event for both the 2011 Vibram Open and the 2011 USDGC.

Makes a good mini tour of the Northern Rockies if you go to Kamloops the following weekend, June 18 - 19, for the Canadian Championships followed by the BSF, or if you can't get in to that, the Timberbeast Challenge in Troy MT on June 25 located in far NW MT. The Timberbeast Challenge has been the highest attended tourney in MT for 4 years running and with live music and free camping on the banks of the Kootenai, a worthy second choice to the BSF.

Not a WA or OR event, but the Zoo Town Open in Missoula, MT is an A/B tier event held on June 11 - 12. It is also a qualifing event for both the 2011 Vibram Open and the 2011 USDGC.

The Pine Jam (Sisters) date has been changed to Memorial Day weekend, May 28 & 29, instead of June 4 & 5 due to a park reservation conflict. See y'all in cowboy country.

Is that a good Change or Bad Change for you Ryan? With the BSF sliding further this year it opens up the opportunity for golfers to get there game in shape by playing more events in the spring!

Thanks to a suggestion by Ryan Lane, I've updated all events with links to their PDGA tournament page (when available), which will show you who's registered (before) and the results (after). I'll also be restoring completed events to the calendar along with their PDGA links so you can easily check on results of tournaments past. :)

Sorry to say that the remainder of the 2011 King of the Mountain events will not be organized as originally planned. We need at least 50 players to make these events worthwhile for the ski areas, participants, and sponsors. There are just too many events and not enough interest to make it worthwhile this year. Bachelor and Skibowl both have courses set up if you want to make a weekend trip and enjoy some Mt. golf..
