Referring to your mohawk tee shot picture:
I've read and heard that if you keep your off hand/arm tucked to your chest a little longer, it may increase your distance.

Ps, you told me you were going to PDX and gonna play some disc, right?
Puhleeze be scareful.
There's a particular person who may try to undo all the brainwashing I have done to you, and plant some "secret society" seeds.
He'll be easy to recognize as he is a die hard SF Giants fan who pretends to like some team down in LA.
Whatever you do.... DO NOT join the SECRET SOCIETY! :nono:

That would be awesome! but you need to talk to josh, he is the one who made the rule. He has not been the same person since you have been gone! The chains on his birdies don't ring as loud, and the sunsets at whistlers aren't as long or as beautiful for him. It is like a part of him is missing!:waaah:

I thought that I saw somewhere that we are playing 1 round a day with a FINAL 9 following last round on Sunday. If this is true, what is the FINAL 9 going to consist of? It would be great if the FINAL 9 included all of the cashing competitors within respected divisions playing 9 holes. I feel that this would promote some exciting golf knowing that you have cashed and now it is just a matter of how much, so people should be making runs on the basket.

Thanks, looking forward to the event.

Final nine is going to be for the leaders in most divisions? It won't be a whistlers you have seen for the most part. Combination of holes to make one hole, bring you walking shoes, and adult beverages if you going to be in the peanut gallery!!!

Dillon does have a shot at a final nine. All he has to do is enter the pro ranks.

Personally, I would let the Pro Masters play a final 9 before advanced.

I agree with Yose...

The whole point of a final nine is that the TDs can finalize payouts and stuff while everyone who wants to get's to watch the featured group play. Open men and Open women should play, maybe masters... if someone wants a shot at playing the final nine then join up... The open division is for anyone!

ha! my looks are paying off again!!! i love it... altho, i'm thinking more along the lines of refreshing vodka cocktails in the summer heat for this shindig...

... another question... what is the camping scene? i won't be rolling in until laaate friday night, camping out the back of my suby, but am hoping to be able to pull in to one of those sites down by the river (that's right, i live in a suby down by the river)... will this be an option or is it just group camp up top there?

good to know... both group campsites and probably no chance of a riverside private spot by the river... so, the one that was used for GNO & i am assuming the one sort of down below that then?

or, i'll camp in the parking lot of the bathroom, ha! ;)

sam, my grumpy doesn't care about other people's feelings... it's purely selfish that i like my morning time without having to look at or talk to other people... so, just don't look at me until you see that i've had at least half a cup of coffee... by then i'll be cool.

... oh, i'll take care of my own on the coffee front... i am always very prepared when it comes to proper caffeination... but thank you very much... in fact, i may have fixins for iced toddy lattes post rounds which may also be quite delicious with the addition of such things as kahlua, whiskey, or rum... we'll see what i can get Becky Jo to hook me up with from the coffee shop...

Come on, Stern... read! My post said that I was considering moving to MA1 for this. The Babuka mention was for Babuka's sake, not mine.

And I know you won't be playing MM1... but are you even going at all? :)

Ohh wow!!! sam is stepping up?:rockon: I will move you right now! gwain you better be headed down here this weekend.

Wait... do MA1s get to play a final 9? Do Pro Masters? This will help me decide where I want to go. 54 holes is awesome. 63 is better. :)

I'll vouch for him.

His 4WD VW camper van with the hardwood interior is an amazing work of road art.

And his presence might just keep Steve and I out of the shark pool!

The way I've been playin' lately I'm swimmin' with the guppies. Shark bait...

Man, if only I were 50! What I wouldn't give for a rematch of that AWESOME playoff! (Great putts, Bill! Supercrusties: watch out for this guy!)

TD: yes, it's true, I won't be in attendance (family issues). It has NOTHING to do with the event: I am sure the tournament will be FANTASTIC!

Is that Gawain? Bummer, was hoping to see you there. Thanks for reminding me of the glory days. That playoff was epic and your putting was great too, I thought you'd never miss! Was Norcal champ that year. Like that matters!

Did you have some OTHER awesome playoff putting contest at Whistler's? Yes, it's me (you can click a user's nickname, and usually see their real name in their profile)! See you in Grandies (in about 5 years)!

Like a lawn chair... like a lawn chair...

Thanks for a great tournament. The 27 hole layout was amazing. The float around the bend was incredible, as always.

Another trip to Whistler's before the summer is over is in the making...

Whistlers Bend in the summer is one of the finer things in life.

Many thanks to the Umpqua folks for putting on yet another great event. I love how every time I go down there the course looks better and better. Its great to see so much love being poured in to that course.

Thanks again.

This was a great event. I liked the added holes and hope they become more extreme in the future. My family was able to enjoy themselves alot, althought next time I will bring floatation devices for us to float down the river.
