Putt This is changing their name?
Oh that's right... you're a plebe when it comes to team golf and wouldn't remember who my former team is. My current team plays in the big leagues. Good thing you moved to Saturdays where the juniors play so you can worry about who is loading the next round rather than shooting the next round.
Anyway, someone had to take Troy's place and you are just the man to fit the bill. To a T.

I don't think anything could ease this boys ego. I do like how the insult of the week is calling people Troy, maybe next week it will be calling people Sam.
This thread was supposed to be for posting results not flinging feces. I notice that the Saturday teams are better at following directions...

Packers 9 vs D & D 6
I just have to say that I enjoyed playing with all the peeps of D&D...you ladies are crazy, funny and great sportswoman.
HATED THE WINDS AND PUTTING WAS JUST :jumpspin:
The funniest and craziest thing I saw yesterday regarding the winds...Hole six Tubbs is putting for par about 20ft from the basket. I believe he hit the basket and the disc popped up and rolled and wobbled from basket six alllll the way to next the another team that was putting on basket 3. Poor Tubbs took a 7  ...I had to ask.
To D&D

Good fun matched yesterday. Thanks Packers!
At some point you just have to laugh it all off. I didn't have to many great wind stories but Kirsten had a couple good ones.
A 3 foot putt dead center in the chains just hover for a second or two and fly strait backwards. Looked like it bounced off the pole but it was just hovering.
The second was the hole that throws by the bridge. Kirsten was down by the water throwing up the hill. It went about 20 ft and then a solid 100 ft backwards!
We also saw a bald eagle flying about 40 ft above our heads on the next hole. It was amazing to see it so close with such beautiful scenery all around.

I have never played in such consistently strong winds. That weather tore me and my 150 plastic UP! Ha!
I'll be the first to say it: Hole 5 was a dirty, dirty biyatch yesterday. I can't recall EVER taking a 14 on one hole. That hurt. All I could do was laugh it off, though... no sense in getting all pissed off and having a bad day over it. I did get some revenge on that hole in the 2nd round, and managed to only go out of bounds once, in order to shoot a 6. Nothing will make you happy to take a 6 on a hole like taking a 14 on it in the previous round. Haha!!
We had a great time playing with the Packers! to you guys!!

Dan,
I am trying to review the rules to make sure I'm correct....
but I see nothing that says a single player can defend a doubles match against no one for a point.
We had the same issue a couple matches ago. We didn't get a point for having a fifth player there when the other team had four, so i don't think your team gets that point either.
I THINK it takes at least SIX players to defend the doubles point.
Where are the final rules posted? I found the prelim rules, but know doubles rules were changed a little.
Jordan?
DanD
January 3rd, 2011, 12:48 PM
I believe doubles are mandatory and you only need to have one player to field a doubles team, since the Disrupters only brought 4 players you had to forfeit each doubles match.
Even if this isnt the case, ODW won on strokes, giving us the match point and a 5-4 win.
Wes Hansen
January 3rd, 2011, 12:55 PM
I have now read the rules.
One team must have SIX players to defend the doubles point. If the other team has a fifth, then there is a match.
Neither of our teams had enough players to defend the doubles match.
No point.
If I'm wrong, I'll happily admit it.
However, in this case I think I'll wait for you to acknowledge your error.
Wes Hansen
January 3rd, 2011, 12:58 PM
From post #18 from Jordan in Capt. Mtgs results;
So I'll break it down:
1. The first 4 members of each team will play singles matches, each for a match point.
2. If at least 1 team has 6 players then they can set the dubs match. The other team can put up a Cali player to defend the point if they only have 5 players. If they cannot, then they forfeit the match point.
3. If both teams can & want to play all 7 players, then they can compete for another match point. If only 1 team has all 7 players they do not get this match point like they would in dubs.

We were in the same boat in the morning on Saturday we had 5 & DGod had 4after fulfilling the 4 singles first that only left one player. One player can't defend a dubs match. Also you can't play a dubs cali against cali. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is my understanding of the rules.

We are making progress.
You've acknowledged that maybe you are wrong (you are) regarding the doubles point and that you're false claim of a 6-4 win SHOULD have been a false claim of a 7-4 win and now you THINK you may have won the match on stroke points (might be).
I have NO idea who won on strokes...
and I wonder if you do.
I lost confidence in your math a few posts back.

But not surprised.
Why not just tell me the stroke total you seem to be aware of and gloat on that?
I'll be extremely surprised if you have that total.

I think you mean 'libel," but I can't be sure. (I'll use a made up word later in the post so you can point it out.) Perhaps I shouldn't have used sidekick, though it seems appropriate.

I don't know about "quickly," as you've never set me right about anything before. I do know you are quick to offer your opinions as fact and often speak at length on subjects you are ignorant of, as well as your penchant for interjecting yourself in conversations where you have no business. Daniel.

The 4-4 tie between the Discrupters and Oregon Disc & Wildlife came down to strokes where OD&W gets the win 540-555.:cheerleader:
The 4 rounds shot at North Bonneville were played in some interesting weather conditions coupled with nefarious boundary rules. This turned out to push the SSA for the course into the stratosphere. The morning round on Saturday played to an SSA of 60.54 or six and a half strokes above par. Then it settled down to the nominal 58.06. Sunday's early round played at 58.23 while the afternoon only improved to 58.01.:chug:

I think a lot of people learned the importance of overstable discs thrown on a flat low release
or as I saw, they suffered the consequences. :waaah:
I really enjoyed watching people try to throw high on an angle into a fierce headwind.

Wow. For some reason I didn't fill out the 7 player point for either team in your match and you both earned it. In fact, while double checking the rest of the matches it became clear that 9 of the 10 teams earned the 7 player point and 68 of the 70 players played a singles match last Sunday. And I thought I was the crazy one...at least I am not alone.
For those playing the home game Saturday had 2 teams earn the 7 player point.:bricks:

Data entry error, bad on me. You are correct.
While looking into your score adjustment (you are very welcome to your 1037 rated round of 54:shocked:) I noticed that I forgot to account for a match card anomaly. The AM round got recorded on the bottom of the sheet...
So that really changed how the Sunday rounds were rated. So after fixing the score, swapping the rounds on the spreadsheet and recalculating the rounds the morning round played to an SSA of 58.45. The PM round SSA was 57.58.
Any more errors?
