Jeff,
Isn't it supposed to be more like:
The entry fee is $40 with all current PDGA members to receive a $10 discount.
That way the youngsters sprouting up from the roots can see an immediate advantage to join the PDGA.
Come on dude, get with the program. :whistler: :wink2:

Actually PDGA guidelines strongly encourage posting prices including the $10 non member fee and saying $10 discount for members as Yose is saying... and damn can't make this one... grrr

I am curious to see how the 19 hole layout will rate for a 1000 rated round. If the current layout is left in place then the scores should go low. If we can get some baskets in the longer positions then the scores should be a couple strokes higher on average.

Are we going to use the regular mandos on holes, 1, 3, 4, 12, 14
Are we going to use the obs on 2, 3, 8, 12, 15, 18.

It might be a good idea to have all this written up on sheets to hand out at the players meeting by hole!

The only mandos at Timber are on the odd-numbered holes, as well as the holes whose numbers are divisible by two.

~6 under is my guess. Going to have to shoot low to get good rated rounds at Timber. All long placements would be nice.

We did do a big mailing of membership cards a while back, but a good many of them were returned for one reason or another. We'll mail out another batch once we get the transition to the new board completed. In the meantime, you are member #370. You can always check membership status and/or print a membership card right... HERE (http://www.stumptowndiscgolf.org/memberlist).

Anytime.

Whoa, that was fast.

Man timber requires some hot shooting to get a good round rating. Had to shoot a 49 (-9) and then a 48 (-10) just to get 1000 rated rounds.

Thanks for all your hard work tournament staff.

Let me be the first to say,

SAM = SAND BAGGER :nahnah:

You would have won open masters.

Leave Sam alone. He draws attention away from me. :whistler:

The PDGA Ratings Update (http://www.pdga.com/announcements/next-ratings-update) page had 1/12/11 posted as the final submission date for events to be included in the next update. Since the preliminary ratings for Slosh #3 are still listed on the PDGA website, which usually means they are not processing the events ratings, I sent the PDGA the following letter:

Hello,

I ran the Stumptown Slosh #3 event on Jan 8th and the event is still showing temporary ratings, which usually means the TD report was not yet submitted and the event ratings will not be included in this update.

I specifically made sure I submitted the final TD report and paid the PDGA fees on Jan 10th in order to make the submission deadline listed on your Next Ratings Update Page. Will my event be included in this update or not?

Thank you,

Jeff Hagerty

This was the response I got from the PDGA:

Jeff,

The first ratings update to include 2011 events will not be until March. This next ratings update will be a year end for 2010. We will not be uploading official results from 2011 until after this update.

You did everything correctly.

Karolyn

I wanted everyone to know why the event was not included.

Jeff

We're still going to burn an effigy. Well, I'm not, since I'd rather my ratings got tossed altogether. But either way, you can't win!
