In general I would like to thank the greater Puget Sound Disc Golfers, DG Associations, etc. that make DG one of the fastest growing sports no one know about.

Specific Call Outs...

Tom (Mando's) & Keith (ChangBangerz) - Each is a store owner with the passion and drive to improve the sport at every turn with events and activities to entertain the experienced DG'er as well as the new player.

To the group of usual suspects - we play each week year in and year out rain or shine. We know everyone's disc choosing tendencies, as well as DG strength and weakness. We also know each others personal flaws and faults and still enjoy choose to be in each other's company.

To All have a great holiday season, and bountiful new years. No get off the net and throw...

The NIDGC for throwing the best league rounds and their dilligent work to make the best courses with what they are given. To all those who hucked before me and those who will huck long after I shuffle off this mortal coil...

I'd like to thank my lil sister Patsy for sending me that used cheetah for my Bday back in 99. I would never have thought that i would have picked back up this silly game after a 19 year hiatis. It has come along way since i taped 3 nickels to the bottom of a 141 g frisbee to make it go further at the original HB course. p.s. Was that "The Stork" walking around selling midnight flyers from his shoulder bag in 79?? I wish i would have kept one of those:waaah:

Keith, for the countless hours he puts into the local disc golf community.
Next year is gonna be a good one for disc golf in Seattle.

And Lowell, the man, the legend. He still works out there whenever he can, and has helped the local DG community longer than anyone.

There should be a tourney in Lowells honor.

And to all the nameless grunts who came out and got thier hands dirty building and maintaining the local courses this year.

I offer up a toast in your honor.

Cheers ! :chug:

I'd like to thank Jerry Miller for continuing to run Disc golf depot and numerous great disc golf events, as well as Ty Baker for running the Rockwood winter series.
I'd like to thank Brian at Next Adventure for supporting NW disc golf and running an all-around amazing store full of awesome.

No one has said it yet so I would like to thank:

Adam and Sam, our two administrators for NWDGN and the Moderator team for keeping this site up and running well.

Bob Horning and the Horning's Hideout Crew: You are so friendly and so welcoming and you do so much awesome work out on those courses that I go there very frequently compared to how far away I live for it's my favorite course played out of the over 110 courses I have played!!! I always put AT LEAST $10 in the bucket for me alone.

Thanks so much for helping me find a job when I was unemployed. It probably wasn't a big deal to you, but it was HUGE for me. Also, all the midweek rounds we've played over the years will go down in my memory bank as solid gold. You are an awesome person, and I'm sure you're be raising a pretty amazing little DGer, too!

Bryan / NextAdventure
Huge thanks to Bryan Knudsen and Next Adventure for all that they have done. Looking back a couple years, I never would have guessed that the PDX area would have such a strong and dynamic supporter of our sport such as what Next Adventure has become. Quite often, when meeting with Bryan, the wheels in his head are turning faster than the rest of us, and he doesn't even play! I want to thank NA and Bryan specifically for sponsoring my endeavors in 2010. Both the events that Steve and I have run, as well as my personal sponsorship. I got a little beat up and worn out toward the end of the year, but it was a great year and I'm grateful for the opportunities that Bryan and Next Adventure opened up to me.

Brice Lang
It's been a blast to watch your game take off over the last couple years. I've enjoyed our conversations while on the road just as much as the golf when we arrive. I'm glad we got to travel a little this year, looking forward to the future! I also really appreciate the casual rounds that we've battled through the year. It's refreshing to find someone that I can play casually with and have the rounds be just as intense and exciting as tourney golf.

Cris Bellinger
I don't know what you're up to or where you're at, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every second I've gotten to hang out with you over the years. Schedule be damned we have to get together more this coming year!

Dale Palmer & Jeff Baker
Two of my favorite people to run into on the course, you guys are awesome. I've never heard one negative thing come out of either of your mouths! Hopefully, in time, I can learn to be as kind and good-natured as you guys!

Dan Brown
I have loved to watch the DGOD crew grow over the past couple of years. Your ability to be involved with DGOD while not shunning any of the other groups has made you become a some sort of Buddhist DGer. Thanks for always remembering and putting the most important things first!

Dan Denny
You make me laugh. If that wasn't enough, you were generous enough open your home to me when I needed a place to stay. Not a lot of people would be so gracious, thank you!

Hagerty
Thanks for not giving me an inch when I want to whine about something. This may sound odd, but it's nice to have someone to talk to that won't listen to me (I hope this makes sense). I was lucky enough to move to Portland when we were both unemployed. How long did we golf daily before we got jobs? It was at least a year. Good times. Thank you for your generosity over the years, I'll continue to try to repay you somehow. I have loved all the traveling up to Washington and all over Oregon competing, thanks for pushing me into that even when i didn't necessarily feel up to it, the memories are worth the difficult times. Also, thanks for all the work you do for the DG community. I know it can be a thankless job at times....so thanks!

Jason Pinkal
J, I wish everyone approached life with as honest an outlook as you. I really REALLY appreciate your candor and professionalism on the course, I wish more tourney players would gleen from you.

Jeff Eliot
Such a great guy to be around, always generous beyond necessity, ready with a good story, and the BBQ....wow. Thanks for being such a wacky hoot, my friend!

Joey
Thanks for sharing so many awesome experiences with me over the past year. 2010 was a great year to be your teammate. You ripped up the MA1 division, and I enjoyed watching it. All the ring of fires, scrabble at the lodge, everything. You're a great dude and I'm honored to call you a friend.

Matt Roller
If I had to pick a perfect foursome for golf, you'd be in it! I enjoy the times we've had golfing, and look forward to the times we will have. Plus, you named your daughter "Sky Roller", which happens to be one of my favorite shots in golf!

Mike Rideout
Thanks for involving me in the FSO this past year, I had a great time. I'm really excited with what you're doing for Washington DG and I can't wait to see how things will progress. I love all your quirky ideas and love that you actually follow through with them (Triple-Shot Elimination was one of the most fun DG events I've participated in!) Thanks for all you do for the sport!

Nanook
Can't think of a better companion on the course!

Nate Clark
Thanks for always being so willing to help, even if it means you're missing some of the action. You're one of my favorite people to have with me at TC, hope we can arrange more of that in the coming year.

Steve Carson
Thank you so much for putting up with my grouchy whinyness on so many occasions, haha. Seriously though, it's been a pleasure the past few years of working with you on the Stumptown Board, then working together to get FireFly off the ground. There is no one else I would prefer to be working with on such things. I can't wait to see what we can do in the coming years!

Steve Kroger
For those of you that don't know, Steve is the Ranger at Stub Stewart that has been involved in getting the course going. He is VERY helpful, and VERY motivated. Thanks for all you're doing, Steve!

Chris / Girlbot
Supporting my DG endeavors unconditionally. I am so lucky to have you in my life, not sure how I won that lotto, but thanks!

Hagerty, Mike P, Coury, Ollis
Without these four people, I'm not sure Stub Stewart would have ever happened. There have been a lot of people involved with this project since the beginning, but these guys (along with Steve Kruger) have put in the majority of the effort. I can say without a doubt that Stub Stewart is one of my favorite disc golf courses (and I've played well over a 100), and I am SUPER excited to see it as it matures. I'll probably be spending more time at Stub through this coming year than at Milo, and Milo is one of the primary reasons I moved to the PDX area. Thanks for all you guys have done, I'll help as often as I can!

Gwillim you inspire me brother!

Okay...

Thanks to the EDGC. You folks are always looking out for our community and moving slow enough to handle the details that most of us golfers rush past and fast enough to keep Eugene's disc community thriving. I wish I could do more to help.

Dion and Hagerty and Flash and Jeff and Ridout - In the short time I've been in the disc community you fellas have stepped up and really put on some spectacular events. Events that innovate and push our community forward!

Tom Crestman- Your efforts over a two year period brought us the new course in the Eugene area that we so desperately needed. I know that CG is sometimes a thorn in your side, but generations of discers will be singing your praises brother.

Nate- You really push me to be better and you've always been very generous helping work on my game.

Buck- You were the first seriously good golfer that convinced me that I could be a pro. You always make me smile and it was a doubles round with you that really put me on the path towards serious disc golf addiction... You're one of a kind and I feel very fortunate to have you in my life.

Treelove- I use your calendar to plan my whole life... Thanks

Tom Embree- Your insights about putting and balance in throwing are the cornerstones that my skills are built on. Thanks for the help.

Dustin & Kevin- Traveling and golfing with you two this past year has been a blast. Watching you two grow as golfers right along with me has been really rad!

BVD- thanks for being my disc golf mirror. I will always hold your game up in comparison with my own. Your encouragement is the biggest factor in my playing worlds the last couple of years and it has been a real pleasure. We miss you.

Rebecca- Your positive attitude and patience in the face of adversity inspires me almost daily. I should have told you this a long time ago but you are truly one of my heroes.

~Andy Hock

I'd like to add another thing that I am very, very thankful for. I would like to thank whatever entity/deity/higher power that was watching out for my roommate and I on New Years Eve. After a long night of drinking and having fun (most of my friends don't celebrate on New Years Eve but the night before), my roommate passed out with a cigarette in his ashtray. Which caught fire to his chair (he was sleeping in it), his bed and our apartment. Somehow he managed to wake up and drag my sleeping body out of the apartment. I'd like to thank the Spokane Valley Fire And Rescue Department for being Johnny on the spot. I'd also like to thank my roommate, Brian Olfs for getting me out of the fire.

The only tragedies to this event? My roommates dog passed away from smoke inhalation, we were evicted on New Years Eve, my brand new got it for Christmas DGA portable (not the Mach) caught fire and burnt to the ground and I lost about 40 really nice collection discs and my roommate lost all 40 of his discs due to heat, smoke and fire.

With all that happened, I couldn't be more thankful that it wasn't worse :yay:

Holy cow, man... Way to count your blessings! With that kind of a disaster, it can be hard to look on the bright side! Better luck to you here in the New Year.

I'll go ahead and thank the folks I work with, for making out work party a round of Disc Golf at Pier, and got me addicted to the game in June. My life is forever improved due to this crazy, awesome, crazy-awesome game
