What's with this 950 rated player playing MA2??:confused:
I am not sure which is funnier.
GNO's scores not getting counted and Tony's lower rated rounds not getting counted?
Or Tewa his golfing buddy calling him out? :whistler::laughing::laughing:

I just had to take my 10th cold shower of the week... too excited ;) Be there before the gate opens Friday I hope...
As for the 950 rated player, I am sure he getting moved up, all his rounds except for one is above 935, if it were like 935 or 936 rating, I wouldnt care, but 950 whoa...
T-what?

The guy is a relatively new player who only has a total of 3 tourneys under his belt. I checked the stats and ran some numbers and found out that if his rounds at the Whistler's Bend had been included in this update (as they should have been) his rating would be 923.
This is the exact reason I think ratings can only truly be accurate until someone has at least 10 rated rounds included.
This is one case where I would leave him right where he is at.

Anyone who has played with or against Tony knows he is better then MA2. If he stays in it though I will have my work cut out for me. He will deffinately be the one to beat! Either way it will be good to try to keep up with quality players. = )

I will argue that a player who is good enough to have a 950 rating (or even 923) most likely has played many casual rounds against tournament players and would know exactly how he would stack up. Even if he just started playing tournaments, he didn't become a 923 rated player over night. At least I hope not.

Yeah, I went down a level knowing that the level of competition would still be intense. I am just lookinig to get my player rating up (only 2 PDGA tournaments under my belt and both on new courses), and watch some really good DG.

While I do not entirely disagree with you, the reality is that we would not be having this discussion if his Whistler's rounds were included. His 950 rating is not accurate.

I was wondering the same thing. Don't the gates close at a certain time? I need to know so if I can't make it by the cutoff I will just stay home until the morning.

Will Am's be able to check-in on Friday throughout the day, or is there a window of time that you need to check-in by? I saw check-in for Thurs 1-5 and early Friday, what about people showing up after the Friday A.M. Pro rounds get started. THX.

pretty sure that for fire reasons they can't actually "lock" the gate to get out of the park for the people already camping down by the course... in the past we have experienced "dumby" locking where the gate looks locked but actually isn't.

However, make sure you know when your tee time is because some rounds are starting EARLY!!! Make sure you make your teetime.

Hey guys and gals,
The Jeff Mittl has arranged for all of the early birds that are camping to be able to stay in the Group Camp A area at Milo McIver State Park.
The camping area is on your way down to the courses. When you come into the park take a left at the stop sign and then go down the hill, when you level out, the camping area will be on your right hand side.

I am planning on coming out to the fling this weekend as a spectator. I have played for 4 years but have never seen a tourney. Besides some incredible disc golf I am not quite sure what to expect. I have looked for some info but could use some help. What I am curious about:
1. Is there an entry fee besides the $3 park pass? Will there be parking available by the course?
2. Will there be a large crowd on Sunday? Are their good viewing areas available throughout the course? Is it fairly open or are spectators corralled?
3. Will there be food and beverage vendors? Are there any other attractions or activities for spectators?
I’m trying to talk my girlfriend into cutting our camping trip short to come see the Sunday rounds. She loves to play but I am wondering if it would be a mistake to expect a great spectator’s experience. If you weren’t playing would you be going to watch? Thanks for any info. Good luck and have fun!

Played some with Niko this afternoon. How sweet is that?
Gates will be open all weekend, that's the word from the Ranger. They do have firewood at the park but not sure on the cost. Fires in above ground firepits ONLY. Reg for all begins no later than 1:00 p.m Thursday. AMs CAN register Saturday morning but be there early, well before your round. You can reg and pick up your player pack at TC later. Tell everyone you know to come out and watch the greatest players in the world take on our Riverbend Disc Golf Course at Milo McIver State Park.

The $3.00 parking fee is all you have to pay.
There will be a pretty good crowd Sunday afternoon. All the AMs play Sunday morning and many will stick around to watch the pros play their final round in the afternoon.
Not really any food vendors - bring in your own food and beverage. For activities there is the mini disc course. Sounds like there will be a pretty good flymart, too.
There are great opportunities to watch golf at Milo. You can follow the lead card with 200 other people - a very unusual experience in disc golf - or you can park it somewhere. There are several great vantage points where you can see 3-4 holes at once.
I highly recommend going out there. Any fan of disc golf would love it.

My Volunteer Starter schedule has the Starters working at 7:10 a.m. for the first round. I'm sure the times will be available online by Friday early evening and also at Tournament Central. Plan on coming in early, before 7:00 to be sure you have it covered.

These final rounds are spectator friendly, they want you to be there! Just stay 30-50 feet behind the players with the other people and enjoy the show. I have watched the final card at BSF and the Memorial, both excellent expiriences.

It's just my little tent so I don't need much room at all. Also, is camping free?

Camping is not free, its $6 dollars a night and you can not camp near TC, you must camp in Group D or Group E. Look all this information up on the website

Hey Everyone,
We were up late again last night to get the TD reports done for both the NT and the A-tier so if you want to keep a copy of the temporary ratings you should download them soon or take a screen capture to save them as Jeff will be submitting the TD reports to the PDGA today.
Also anyone who did not pick up their scrip will need to do so At Next Adventure. This is also the only place you can use the scrip now that the event is over. I will also be emailing or calling those parties involved to let them know.
