I ran two Super Class leagues and several Super Class events including the Nationals in 2009 to get things started. I'm glad to see others stepping up to run events since being a TD isn't really my thing unless I have to. Unfortunately, we haven't had anyone else in MN jump in to run anything yet so I might have to do a couple this year.

If you have submitted results that are not included. I would suggest that you contact the PDGA right away and find out what the problem is.

A few years back I submitted a TD report that was never added to the results. When I called them about it, they said there had been a problem with the TD report. Surprised, I asked them when, exactly, they planned to tell ME about the problem so I could fix it. They had no answer.

Yup, I just called today and found that they somehow do not have the TD report. Not sure why they haven't told me but as Jub said, it is a pretty big system to figure out and there is someone new working on tournament results now.

Anyway, we're resending the results but alas, like many other events, they may not make it into the already calculated results.

Ratings Today
By PDGAStaff | Aug 30, 2011
Not updated yet - Afternoon at the earliest

So close but still some issues with the pool assignments at Am Worlds that need to be fixed before publishing the ratings today. The next pass is running now but it takes a while even with fast PCs. After peeking at the initial run, it looks like we'll have five players with ratings of 1040 and higher for the first time.

We're adding another ratings update this year that will be posted just two weeks from today on September 13th. That update will include all of the Global events along with the final NTs at Pittsburgh and Maple Hill. The September update will be the final ratings update the USDGC can use to determine the performance scores for each competitor.

The update originally scheduled for October 4th is moved back to October 25th. That update will include ratings from the upcoming big tournaments - US Women DG Championships, the new PDGA Championship and the special format USDGC.

Only two reasons, either the TD didn't enter your PDGA number in the results, or more likey, the TD didn't submit the tournament report to the PDGA before the deadline for that ratings update.

No worries Jeff :)
I needed to get Scott's input on the report for the unfortunate incident that resulted in the DQ. This held the TD report up for a day or so. We got that added and finalized the report Wednesday night. Report was sent, fees paid and report processed and accepted by PDGA office on Thursday August 25th. So I was a little late (by my standards) with this one... :p

I am sorry, since the PDGA decided to go with foolish names for the different divisions instead of just using ratings based divisions, no 'player' who is confident in playing a 'real' tourney wants to sign up for a division called 'Recreational'. Once they've made the decision to compete they don't want to be told by their division name that they don't take it seriously.

Besides, you should play up WAAAAY above the division that your rating qualifies you to play because SOOO many sub 900 rated players win the Advanced AM division every time. Or at least you'd THINK so based on the amount of those players that sign up for that division...:whistler:

I am 100% behind splitting the AM field into 3 divisions based on skill, but they really shot themselves in the foot with how they implemented it. Where's that TreeLove signature when you need it...:smash:

What's the excuse for not having three high rated rounds in mid August in this latest update?

I was wondering the same thing....

The previous rating update bumped me down to my lowest rating ever at 914.

Today's update bumped me up just enough to get my highest ever rating at 930.

I'm a long way from the high end of my rating ceiling, but I'm certain I will never have another sub 930 rating.

The showdown in sheltown, up in shelton, wa.

My three rounds were 945,949,1005, all higher than my current rating of 932.

Honestly these ratings should have been counted in the September update.

Is there a time limit to have the scores and ratings submitted?

That is a bummer. The Shelton folks probably did not submit their final TD report in time for the update. You might want to drop them a polite note letting them know.

I would like to say we should cut them a little slack, since I don't think they've run too many sanctioned events up there in Shelton yet, but the reality is that people just don't like waiting anymore. Hell... nowadays everyone expects the results to be up and posted by the time they get home from the course each night.

My abysmal showing at the Bad Monkey Open dropped me nearly 20pts my after my first rating update.

However I'm proud to say that after my good finish at the NAAC I've jumped nearly sixty points all the way up to 883. Go me!

If I didn't completely screw up my first round at the NAAC or all 3 at the BMO I'd def be 900 rated after my first 3 events.

March Ratings Update Delayed

Due to a Ratings Committee illness, the Ratings Update originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th will be delayed. Nope. Some technical issues with division codes and the new TD template delayed the PDGA office getting the files to the Ratings team by 5 days. Then, Roger had the flu along with his Internet service going on the fritz. Multiple issues all struck this time. We just got the first draft a few minutes ago. If it passes thru the routine error checking process, there's a decent chance it will get posted by Thursday. If Roger has to run another pass, then it will likely be Monday.

Who knows they might all show up after the update.

If you hover over those bold ratings with your mouse a popup comes up that says propagator, so it probably has to do with how the round ratings are calculated. Either the ratings is too low or they do not have enough rated rounds to be a propagator.

I am not exactly clear on how this is implemented, but it looks like they are making some subtle changes to the ratings system.

A propagator is a current member whose rating is over 799 and is based on at least 8 rounds

Chuck Kennedy

Ganz made a subtle change not announced yet that indicates which players are propagators to help TDs know if there are enough props in some smaller divisions playing alternate layouts. The ratings are bold for a propagator and you can mouse over it to see the word "propagator." In addition, you can now mouse over a player name once the event starts and still see their hometown and state/country.

Anybody know if the PDGA website is being updated? I just tried doing a players search to see where my player rating is at and the search did not recognize my PDGA # which is current or my last name. I then went to a tournament that I played earlier in the year and it had my old rating posted and when I clicked on my name it brought up my details for this year but did not show my name or PDGA # with the history info. Thoughts? My computer and internet connection is kind of a pile but I've never had this problem before. Just curious, the info is not overly important to me I am just wondering if it's a PDGA problem or a me problem.
