Thats right we're heading back out in to the elements to provide you with yet another year of ceaseless downpours, howling winds and awesome disc golf! All events will be PDGA sanctioned C-Tier events.
The tentative schedule is:
Slosh #1: 11/13/10 (Saturday) Hornings Hideout
REGISTRATION (http://www.stumptowndiscgolf.org/store/2010-11_Slosh1)
REGISTERED PLAYERS (http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=11050#Open)
Slosh #2: 12/19/10 (Sunday)
Slosh #3: 01/08/11 (Saturday)
Slosh #4: 02/20/10 (Sunday)
I will be posting the locations for each event shortly, but I wanted to get these dates out there. I made an concerted effort to ensure we did not conflict with Team Golf or with the long running Rockwood Winter Series, so those of you playing in those series will have no problems doing both!
I'll keep you posted on any changes here in this thread.

Is the course list solidified yet? Any chance there will be a tourney at Dabney? I like that course and have never played a tourney there...

They are open to everyone but because we secure our insurance through the registering of the event with the PDGA you will have to pay an additional $10.00 fee to the PDGA if you are not a member. Actually you will pay this fee to Stumptown and they will make the payment to the PDGA and pass on all your information to the PDGA.
These events are fun and a great way to get some tournament exposure on a lower scale. They are single day events so they do not consume your entire weekend. If you are a competitive player or a casual player these events have a little bit for everyone.

Why no Rec and Novice divisions?:(
They were offered last year.

This is always a tough call, but from a TDs perspective I would much rather see 3 divisions with 7 people each than 5 divisions 4 people each.
There are 3 divisions available for amateur men: MA1, MA2 and MM1.

I may have read it wrong, but it appears that all fees are the same.
If so, for the sake of discussion only, I was curious as to why.

You are correct. All entry fees are the same.
When we were trying to determine how many of the series players pack discs to order we realized it would be hard to accurately gauge since we didn't know exactly how many amateurs -vs- pro players we would be attracting to the events. To simplify things we decided to charge the same price to both amateurs and to pros and we would give all of the pros a players pack as well. That way it didn't matter how many of each player we had.

We are in with one Caveat. Kim says she will play, but no one may hit her with a disc this time.

I am stoked that this event is back - I found it to be quite enjoyable last year. Please please please no single-chain baskets! They cost me the tourney last year :waaah: I will gladly lend my two double-chain, deep-bucket, full-weight Innova Discatcher Pros!

We would love to use your baskets! We will be using Chainstar portables from Stumptown and Firefly plus a couple other loaners. Thanks.
