So does this mean its the 22nd ice bowl or do we have to take two craps in a bowl of ice? :D

Since 1996, IB's have been primarily hosted to raise food and funds for the needy.
To date all of you faithful Umpqua Disc Assoc. Ice Bowlers have raised $2,912.00 and 2,044 lbs of food. :bowing:
Our goal this year is again $1,000. ($850 last year)
UDA IB's have been putting a lot of emphasis on having FUN!
Shooting through hoola hoops, basketball hoops and playing mini only holes is only some of the fun stuff we do. Anyone remember the swinging basket putting contest?
I'm seriously thinking about using Lawson Bar and Stanton this year. :chinscratch:
Mr. Joshua,
Hopefully we won't have as many wimps this year. :whistler:

My new Job has me missing the whole Winter Folfing Season this year. So glad to read that things are going along great without me being there. Someone show up for me who might not have been planning to make it. I can still donate to the event though right Yose? food and funds are still needed weather you play or not. well until next time. May the Folf be with you.

How many rounds are being played?

Java, we will be playing at least 2 or 3 rounds on 9-12 holes.
A lot will depend on if the fish are moving up the river, as we lose a few holes to boat/trailer parking.
Usually it's dubs first round and then we leave it up to what we all want to do.
Having fun is mandatory!
I'm thinking blindfold doubles could be interesting.

So far we've raised 100 bucks for UCAN.
Thanks to all you Windy Creek CTP peeps and Rick @ Disc Golf World (Fullcolor fundraiser discs).
Remember, NO WIMPS NO WHINERS... be there or be a wimp!

UDA Ice Bowls are always open.
You don't have pay to play either.
It's basically meant to "dispel the gloom of winter" (Rick's quote), slam a few chains with your buds, raise some food/fund for folks who could really use it and enjoy the rough beauty of Lawson Bar.
You will have a chance to do something that is very rare in disc golf!
Play for a zero on your card on the hoola hoop hole.
Blindfold triples is sounding like a lot fun.
We could call it 3 Blind Mice.
As always please bring non perishable food donations and maybe some extra cash for the swinging basket putt and other activities.

Lawson is a tone course with some very unique targets.
Some are triangular, some of them hang and look like a "mother-ship space craft" and some you'll just have to check out as they're unlike any other target you have probably putted at.
We will replace a few with baskets.
So be ready to putt at just about anything. :biggrin2:
No Wimps No Whiners!

Well then, we better have a rap session on tee one, so's we can discuss all the gossip and rumor that I've been reading about all you Southern Oregon Rebels. :wink2:
Ashland does sound like a good bunch of folks to pick on.
Is Wiggy considered an Ashlander?

Well, if you mean about the "and Stanton", that thought floated down the river to Lawson Bar.
As far as wimps.......uh....... I think I remember thinking that you would be a good "Wimp/Whiner" tracker. All you have to do is listen for whiner's and look for wimps. Probably the biggest task would be to make sure and tell all the wimpy peeps who didn't make it, how big of a wimp they really were.

Other targets were the watery wheelbarrow, the "sink hole" and the upside down #13 tone from :whistler:'s. You had to putt the mini inside the tone.
These were "mini only" holes that got a lot of laughs and I'm sure some silent whines.
BTW, was that you that bleeped on the wimp radar. :biggrin2:

40 WAY TIE FOR FIRST!
We all won, some just didn't throw as many discs as others did.
Highlights for me were:
#1. The pleasure of meeting and grouping up with Joe and Judy from Salem.
#2. Hearing and seeing people laughing and smiling.
#3. Playing disc golf with my old friends Otis and Lee.
#4. Simmons back porch with great friends, chili, and view.
#5. Boydster's putt he made with his head. (it was legal)
#6. Joe's through the "hoop" shot for a near one on the wheelbarrow hole.
#7 Kris Brannon got a one and an ace on his 2nd round.
#8 (could also be #2) The big ol whine that the "Whiner Winner" let out when I mentioned that you had to putt on hole one with your off hand.

We did alright with the food donations collecting 107 lb's.
We had $503 bucks, before my new friend Joe and I went down to the casino.
Here's the folks you can thank for making it happen:
Fred, Donnala and Swain Simmons
Alan and Desi Springer
JenMac
Gordon's Pharmacy and Gifts
Canyonville Ace Hardware
Commonwealth Garden Shoppe
Pizza Palace
Abby's
Nickel Bowl
Tom's Dairy Queen
Will "Pedbo" Petterson Photography
Del's Building Supply (In memory of "Red")
Derek Brown
SOJ
UDA
Disc Golf World
Little Flyers
Gateway
Discraft
Innova

This years WHINER WINNER is Chad "Cheech" Fulton. He let one out in the first 5 minutes, and then in front of all, his high pitched, "whaaat" sealed the deal.

I want to thank all of you who came out and showed your support.
Year after year you folks come out knowing your reward for playing, is the good vibes you get from giving.
Has anyone seen Mr. Joshua? :chinscratch:
