Hat trick is
each person draws a playing card which forms groups. the reason it's called hat trick is you play 6 holes of doubles with each of the three players in your group.
The game pays out as singles.

Silver Lake will be three rounds of 9

999 or DNF in pDGA terms

Hat Trick doubles is SUPER easy and the best way to hold best shot random draw dubs IMO.

It reduces the effect of pro/pro pairings because you are matched with everyone on your card for at least a few holes.

7 hardy sun drenched souls played the first one.
Mike G ($10) and That man OZ ($20 )shot -16 for 27 holes

No Trifecta because the last 9 was tied by 6/7 players at -5

This was a great tourney this morning!
When I first came to the course this morning, I was expecting a lot less from Excalibur, but was very pleasantly surprised by the layout.
I joked to Chris that if we finished any worse than 9 or 10 under for the 9 holes we were paired up that we were underachieving. Finishing 8 under was pretty good, though!

Turbo,
Did you get the two aquafest shirts for the chainbangerz crew? I had to split and gave them to your sister (who beat your ass with a 10 under).

Yes I did but I forgot to leave them at the shop today. I'll leave them at the shop with Adam and Keith on Friday.

She only beat me because she didn't have to partner with Jub!! FTW :trophy:

FINALLY MADE IT TODAY TO PLAY AT SILVER LAKE AND IT WAS GRRRRR8.
SHORTER HOLES THAT APPEAR TO BE EASIER THAN THEY REALLY ARE. THE ELEVATION COMES INTO PLAY AND TRYING TO PUTT AT A BASKET 25 FT. AWAY AND SEE NOTHING BUT THE LAKE IN THE BACKROUND CAN BE A LITTLE TOUGH.

I PLAYED ABOUT 4 ROUNDS (TWO WITH JUB AND 3 WITH ANOTHER FELLOW THAT I AM EMBARRASSED I FORGOT HIS NAME):o. WE EVEN PLAYED A FEW SAFARI HOLES AND THEY WERE PRETTY TOUGH, BUT I LIKED THEM VERY WELL. I BELIEVE THIS IS MY RUN DOWN OF THE HOLES NOT IN ANY ORDER:

1 - 2, 2, 2, 2 (GOT LUCKY ON A FEW SKIPS AND LONG PUTTS)
2 - 2, 2, 3, 3 (REALLY HAVE TO THROW HARDER THAN I THOUGHT TO REACH)
3 - 2, 2, 2, 2 (GOT A FEW LUCKY ROLLS OFF A TREE TRUNK)
4 - 2, 2, 3, 3 (BURNED INTO THE LITTLE HILL AND MISSED 20 FT. PUTT)
5 - 2, 2, 2, 3 (KINDA THE EASIEST....MISSED 25 FT. PUTT LOOKING AT LAKE)
6 - 2, 2, 2, 3 (2ND EASIEST......MISSED 25 FT. PUTT HMMM NO REASON)
7 - 2, 3, 3, 4 (MY NEMESIS HOLE......THERE IS ALWAYS ONE OF THESE)
8 - 2, 2, 2, 3 (MY FAVORITE......GOOD STRONG DRIVE)
9 - 2, 2, 3, 3 (MISSED A FEW 25 FT. PUTTS.....SEMI-TOUGH HOLE)

I DID BOGEY QUITE A FEW OF THE SAFARI HOLES, AND IT WOULD BE GREAT TO THROW THEM INTO THE SILVER COYOTE TOURNAMENT. THANKS JUB FOR SHOWING ME AROUND......SEE YOU YA NEXT SATURDAY ON MY B-DAY (NOV. 6TH) THE BIG 4-0 ........:biggrin2:
