Yes, a ONE DAY tournament at NAD park, Bremerton Saturday October 2nd.

PDGA tourney? nope
Lots of cash to be awarded? naw..
Hosted by West Sound Disc Golf Associaton? not really (we'll help)
All long pin positions and Tons of OB string line in play like "Whiners in the Woods"? NO WAY!

This is the third year that the City of Bremerton Parks and Recreation has hosted this one day tourney at the wonderful forest experience that is NAD park in Kitsap county. An October saturday including morning and afternoon rounds of play in skill divisions, with player packs to boot. I'll add on the details at the end.

Why play this one? Its a one day tournament! Its as competitive as you want to make it, and NAD is beautiful in the fall!

Ok, here's the details from the Parks coordinator:

"FALL FLING- DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT AT NAD PARK
Sponsored by Bremerton Parks and Recreation, Westsound Disc Golf
Association, Gateway Disc Sports, Bremerton Pepsi Bottling Inc, and
Pacific NW Team Sports.
Saturday, Oct 2
8:45 AM Check-in
Junior, Women's, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced entry levels.
Prizes for 1st place, ring of fire and closest to the basket.
Cost $26.25/$20* (resident discount) and $30 after September 24.
Entry includes a player's pack.
Open to all ages! Register by early to ensure a players pack. Call

Woohoo for 1 day tourneys! Unfortunately, this is the third one-dayer happening on this date that I'd like to play in. Doh! Sounds like it'll be a blast, maybe I can make it next year...or maybe there'll be another one sooner? I'd love to have a kinder, gentler NAD experience. :D

Minus the one hour ferry ride. 7:30am.
Minus the drive from Mill Creek 6:45am
That means it would still be dark when I got up.

I would really like to play, I love the course, but thats just too early to be enjoyable for me.
How about one round, in the afternoon, check in around lunch time ?

O.K. Here's some more news about the Fall Fling at NAD Park.

All the pins at NAD Park will be short "A".

Go to the WSDGA website for the Entry form and link for on-line sign-ups.

Expert/Advanced will play from the Blue tees.

The rest of the field will play from Red tees.

Two rounds. One day event.
