Moving on from the last tournament.
Talked to the field gods today.
Might not get the field for Nov. 6th.
They have a new rate for the field during the school year.
Unless it's a local fundraiser they support ( like Special Olympics ) the field goes for a special price of $280.00. Sorry not in my budget.
If no one rents the field they usually don't mind us out there.
The gods said they would let me know if the field rents out.
So the use of the field is up in the air.
It will still be 18 holes. I have a few different 18 hole layouts we can use and stay in the park. Just won't be a real tough course. More of a normal course with some twists.

Can't wait. Looks like a fun course. When will online registration be available?
Sorry for the late going on this gig.
Paying day of seems to be the chioce of most.
Only had 1 on-line last event.
I do aim to please so I will get the pdga to hook it up.
Still bummed about the sweet field holes they want to charge me for now.
They put up signs on all the fields that state you can't use the grounds for anything other than what they are designed for.
Don't seem to be very public anymore. The've even locked some of the field areas from use at all.
So it looks like 18 holes in the park unless someone wants to sponsor the field.
It will be a new look. Still some bells but not as many whistles.
We post the course soon.
As for as people signed up. Just the normal locals.
A couple adv. masters, a couple adv., a int., a jr., the wife.
Trophies will be had to groups that form before the last second.
Thank for the interest and the jumpstart to get going.
Busy time. New grandbaby. Working for two carquest stores now. Time is limited right now.

Did not get online set up. If that is the only way you can pay I can take your card through Carquest. .50 per $10.00 fee. My number is 503-883-9340 leave message I'll call you back. The stereo is usually to loud.
I'll post the course tonight. The scores Saturday were 64 and 59. The scores Sunday were 61,62 and 76. Not real tough. Just real tight a few places.
Seems to be a couple of older guys, A gal, A jr., and some advanced players so far.

Well that's a par 57. 54 in my book but the P.D.G.A. wouldn't like that.
Especially the 515ft dogleg mando hole. Will play the course again this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.. Only three really tight holes. A good player on a good
day will do better than a 54. A great player with a great round could get 44.
Just can't make mistakes in the wrong places. O.B's can add up fast.

Sweet. I remember your ace. Not to many chances to be had. I see 8 holes I could ace. Only 2 or 3 I will shoot at. A few more if you can throw far enough.
5 holes seem near impossible to ace. Hope to see ya again.

More sweet. Cool Dion glad to here. Yes bring some gear.
All vendors are welcome at my gigs.
If we can't get you taken care of I'll write you some script.
Sounds like an ace pot challenge is on. Dion got the last one.
If no one wins the ace pot we will settle it after the gig.
Shot another 59 to go with a 61. Too bad they seem like fairly good rounds.
53 seems like a long way away for me. Dion we let us know.

Ha, these are big words Trozzle considering the following:
*We are tied at one a piece for aces at Wortman during a sanctioned event
*I currently have FOUR tournament aces this year alone
*Have the ability to ace practically any hole at Wortman (besides the dogleg par four).
Lets do this! :shooting::shooting:

I just played the layout on Sunday and and there are a lot of ace runs... and about 75% of them have o.b. within 15ft of the basket. So if you are willing to risk running at them be ready to add some p's to your card.

The official ace list.
Holes that will not be aced. 1,5,6,7,9,13
Holes with O.B close by. 2,4,11,17
Possible holes. 3,8,10,12,14,15,16
Holes that I shoot at. 3,12,15
Side not. A couple more calls yesterday. Seems to be around 20 if all show that have mentioned they will.
Weather looks like light rain 50% 52 for a high

Hey now Scott, I was working. cant be on the comp all day. And yes Dion you definitely have a better chance at an ace on most holes. especially those that are more than 350, which is about the farthest I can even throw. And, only have 6 total aces. longest being hole 14 at Hagg. 276 ft.

Looks like showers. Nothing to heavy on the horizons.
So for you Adv. Masters you might as well stay home. You wouldn't want this little silly trophy anyway.
Anyone wanting to help set up the course I can use the help. I'll be out by 7:00 a.m.. Hopefully course will be set up by 8:00 for early birds to play.
SMOKIN JOE

Well a 62 this time.
That makes 59,59,61,59,66,62.
Odds of me getting a 53 seems unlikely.
59 seems like a o.k. round.
53 is a good advanced round or even pro.
40's are possible for sure.
50 would be my score if I took the best score for each hole.
8 penalties twice are the most o.b.'s I've gotten.
Averaging 5 o.b.'s per round.
So far no rounds by anyone have gone without an o.b.
Overall average per round 6.7 o.b.'s.
If anyone goes without an o.b. for the day. A special gift is in your future.
Again for you older guys. Rain, wind, cold. Doesn't sound like a good time.
I think you should just stay home. I'm getting used to holding this trophy.

Yes The Boy is playing. He is 7.
For people who have kids. I try to arrange for the first round to be together.
If I know other Jr.'s are coming I'll find someone to watch the group so someone isn't stuck playing and watching. ( my wife usually gets the job )

I'm trying to talk Mattehw into playing. He's 11, and rarely has the chance to play with anyone near his own age. Not sure if I can, he was on the fence last night. Hopefully knowing another JR will be there will help.

Well, no aces today for me...
But I putted better than I was expecting, and was able to seal the deal in the second round. Kirk came out on fire, but our whole group threw from the wrong teepad on our eighth hole and we each took a one stroke penalty...kinda slowed Kirk's fire.

Thanks to Terry for a fun tournament and a super challenging course. Thanks Dion for getting the results up so fast.
While it pales in comparison to Dion's win, I got my first PDGA win today. My first round was my highest rated round ever. My second round was much more Scott-like, but I hit some pretty good shots when I had to and held on for the win.
But I'm even more proud of Matthew. His two rounds were both 100+ points above his current rating, and he finished 9 strokes out of the cash in Rec (most of which unfortunately came on one hole).
