Learning the hammer throw (thumber?)

While helping Tom at this years WRO I had a chance to get some practice with a couple of pros. I can't remember who it was but I got some lessons on the hammer toss- I think its the thumber- anyway I never did get the grip correct until this weekend with some help. Now I have a better understanding of how to use this shot and I'm lovin it big time. Who says you can't teach an old dog a new trick!! My guess is that because I'm a lefty that it was harder for me to understand the grip due to the others I throw with are righties. Thanks to the pros who take the time to teach others new shots:yay:
I have been asked to play in tourneys but thats not my thing. However I will be helping out at other tourneys and mabe get to learn some other trick shots!!
